Back at The Silver Chalice Inn, Lucas and his team sat around a large table, their faces filled with seriousness. They had just heard the confession of a captured follower of the Abyssal Rebellion, who revealed a secret pact between the leaders of Eldoria and the rebels of the underworld."We have to find out which of these leaders is involved," said Lucas, staring at the map of Eldoria spread out on the table."If they really made a pact with the Abyssal Rebellion, we can't trust anyone in the government."Evelyn nodded thoughtfully. "I agree. But we can't just accuse them without proof. This is a very sensitive matter. If we're wrong, they could turn against us and consider us a threat.""We have to find a way to investigate them secretly," said Kael. "Find out which of them shows signs of betrayal or has a motive to join the underworld."Finn grinned. "I guess we need to sneak into some places we're not supposed to be. I always love this part."Lucas smiled thinly. "Yes, and I also need someone who knows how to talk to nobles without making them angry. Evelyn, you and Kael will approach some of the nobles we suspect. Finn and I will sneak in and look for clues behind the scenes.""Fine," replied Evelyn, agreeing to the plan. "But be careful, Lucas. If anyone catches you, we'll be in big trouble.""I'll be fine," replied Lucas, nodding. "Finn, let's go. We'll start by investigating the house of one of the nobles who is often mentioned as a sympathizer."Finn nodded enthusiastically."Finally, we can play spy."Lucas and Finn went to the elite area of Eldoria, where the nobles and leaders lived in their luxurious villas. Night had fallen as they approached the large house belonging to Lord Carver, a member of the city council known to be ambitious and mysterious. His name had been mentioned several times in rumors about his involvement in the dark pact."We have to get in without being noticed," whispered Lucas as they hid behind the tall fence surrounding the property.Finn smiled widely. "This is my favorite part. Follow me." Finn nimbly jumped over the fence and landed quietly in the dark yard. Lucas followed him, moving silently through the bushes and shadows of the trees.They approached a window on the side of the house, and Finn peered inside."I see the study. It's empty now. We can go in and start looking."Lucas nodded, then took out a simple tool to unlock the window."Stay outside, Finn. I'll go in and look for clues. If anyone comes, give me a signal."Finn agreed and took up a position near the entrance. Lucas carefully opened the window and entered the dark room. Inside, he saw a large desk piled with papers, maps, and notes. He began to examine them one by one, looking for evidence of Lord Carver's involvement with the Abyssal Rebellion.As Lucas flipped through some papers, he found something interesting: a map of Eldoria with several locations marked, including the underground tunnel where they had encountered the followers earlier."This is it," thought Lucas. "He must know about their plan."However, before Lucas could read further, he heard footsteps approaching. He quickly hid behind a thick curtain near the window.An old man in a long robe entered the room, followed by two armed guards."Make sure all important papers are hidden. I don't want anyone to smell this conspiracy," the man said in an authoritative tone. Lucas recognized the voice as Lord Carver's.The guards nodded and began to lock the drawers in the desk. Lord Carver stood near the desk with a serious expression, then whispered."Our plan is almost ready. Make sure everything goes according to schedule."After they left the room, Lucas breathed a sigh of relief."That was too close," he thought. He took the papers he had found and quickly jumped out of the window, rejoining Finn outside."What did you find?" Finn asked eagerly."Proof of their involvement," replied Lucas, showing Finn the map and the notes he had taken."And they have a bigger plan than we thought.""Great. Now let's get back to the inn and tell the others. We need to act fast," said Finn.Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Evelyn and Kael had managed to get an audience with a noblewoman known for holding secret meetings. They used their intelligence and a little bit of tactics to get her talking. However, the conversation suddenly took a dark turn when the woman began to describe her interest in the "power from below.""I think Eldoria needs something new... something stronger," she said with a thin smile.Kael exchanged a glance with Evelyn, signaling that they had to be careful."Maybe you could tell us more about your new ideas," Evelyn said casually, trying to draw out more information.The woman looked at them sharply."Maybe later... when we trust each other a little more."After the meeting ended, Evelyn and Kael returned to the inn.
