CHAPTER 14: A HERO'S DEATH

Hero Adam's cold gaze fell on the two individuals who were standing at some distance in front of him.

This was the forest of Chaos, the land demarcating the land of Lome into two, one part of the forest fell under the demon's territory while the other fell under the mutant's territory.

For anyone to pass through here, they had to send an official letter asking for permission to do the same. So he was sure that there shouldn't be any visitors today.

Moreover....

There has been several instances of mass murder recently. Their race wasn't an exception. Many of their fellow mutants were killed off mysteriously.

So.....two strangers appearing out of no where without official notice.....

His eyes narrowed at the suspicious pair. Although he could see their faces, it wasn't clear, as if something was preventing him from engraving their faces into his memory.

This was advanced illusion magic.

"Who are you? Show your true self!" He demanded from the two strangers before him.

Their faces were clear yet blurry at the same time. He waited for them to answer but the next moment he blinked his eyes the two strangers were already sprinting towards the demon's territory.

"!!" His eyes widened. Hero Adam chased them up-close. While doing so he braced himself to attack them.

"Eye of the Alpha, activate. Help this servant of God Lome unveil the darkness."

His golden brown eyes changed into bright pink, the centre of his pupils glowing brightly as a pearl shaped magic circle activated inside his eyes.

Hero Adam's world became white in an instant. This spell, Alpha's eye allowed him to nullify any magical barrier obstructing his view around him within a radius of 50 metres.

The sound of something invisible break echoed in the area.

And that's when he saw it. Adam Hero was horrified by the sight of the shades greeting his Alpha eyes.

The vibrant shades of seven colours found in the bridges of a rainbow. Long, shimmering strands of hair fluttering in the air as the barrier built around the two strangers broke down. A blinding bright appearance. Eyes that looked as if stars were blooming inside them....

He was totally taken in by the appearance of that thing mentioned in history records that he ignored the companion of the stranger shift into his wolf form.

"This!!" He uttered in a state of shock and confusion.

That....hair and those eyes.... This appearance...

He couldn't be wrong. Hero Adam has never been so doubtful of his Alpha's eyes, which has allowed him to see through his enemies, even aiding him in winning so many fights. But now, he was doubting them thinking that perhaps he has seen wrong.

Meanwhile on the other side, while the Hero was drowning in a state of shock, Rene had already shifted into his wolf form. He nudged at Rius.

"Shit! I was careful enough to keep the strength of my barrier within restriction. Who knew it was weakened to this state." Rius cussed at himself when he noticed that their cover was blown away. Still, he had no other choice. Because if he were to add more power into the barrier than it has right now, his Magicules making up the barrier would start eating up the essence of the surrounding area. So, he had to deliberately make a weak barrier so as to not cause any disturbance in the atmosphere of this forest.

"A.....Mystique?" Hero Adam uttered in obvious disbelief.

The Mystique race, one of the three legendary races to ever exist....

Members of this race possessed Rainbow eyes and rainbow hair, making them really easy to identify. The ancient records in the book of Entarazia clearly said so....

That this race which had went extinct, was the enemy of the God of life and God of gift.

God Lome and God Ent's ally, who ended up betraying them.

Thinking of the Infromation he had read in the Holy book of Ent, Hero Adam's expression changed from disbelief to anger.

The veins on his forehead made a popping sound. His eyes were enraged with bloodlust. A dangerous urge to kill the Mystique in front of him was binding him.

"DIEEEEEEE!!" He shouted as he swung his sword, blasting off a powerful attack on his enemy.

Both Rius and Rene were alerted of the other's attack. Rene was about to retaliate but Rius stopped him.

"We don't have time for this Adam dude." He said. Then he flicked his finger. Creating a barrier without limiting its power, he sent a flicker of it towards the handsome man whose expression looked like that of the devil.

The domain of the barrier collided against the sword diving towards them.

Thuweck!

Hero Adam coughed out a mouthful of blood when he felt pain greet his body from all sides. The sword on his hand broke into pieces. He was sure that the bones of his hands and his limbs including his upper body was crushed in an instant when the scalding power hit him. His body bounced back like a lump of sand bag.

Cough. Cough.

In an instant he was on the ground, lying like a dying ant.

"..." Rene would never get used to Rius's terrifying powers. He felt pity for those who would stand as their enemy because Rius treasured his family the most. He could do anything for his family.

"Let's go." Rius took Rene's hand as he lead him away.

"Ku....kuh....." Hero Adam, who was lying flat on the ground, couldn't even lift a finger. His enitre body was destroyed from the inside. His bones were grinded to dust.

"Da..mn..you... Mystique. DIE! ALL....MYSTIQUE MUST DIE!"

In the holy boom of Ent, the history records mentioned the God of Life being betrayed by the Guardian gods, the Mystique race. The god of life was almost killed by the guardian gods.

The Mystique race was a threat to Entarazia.

They must die at any cost!

DIEEEEEEE!!

DIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Rius stopped on his tracks when he felt the aura of animosity towards him grow denser bit by bit. He turned around as he let go of Rene. Then he raised his hand, ready to unleash another attack.

"Just so you know, I can hear your thoughts." As he said this he finished off the dying hero.

Hero Adam died in an instant. The Magicules of the barrier caused his demise. Once his heart and brain were eroded by Rius's monstrous magic essence, he was gone for good.

All Mystique must die he says. Anyone who threatens to kill or harm my family are my enemies. And I will not hesitate to kill them off if it means I can protect my lovely family.

Rius spared a last glance at the hero's body which was being eaten away by his Magicules.

BOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM.

The weather of the sky suddenly changed. Strange thundering sounds echoed throughout the expanse of the sky.

What the hell!

When the world heard the sky lamenting over the loss of a glorious warrior, everyone knew what it meant.

Hero Adam was no more. He was dead.
