Henry felt like his shoulder was going to tear in half.
The moment the commander started falling, Henry grabbed him from any point he could possibly reach him and it turned out to be his pack. It wrapped around Henry's wrist while his hand gripped the rough material.
He felt the ground was solid enough underneath him to hold their weight while he tried to pull the larger man back to the surface. However, he could tell the pack wouldn't hold for very much longer. He was surprised that it hadn't burst open in the process already.
"You have to find a way to grab my hand!" Henry shouted. "Sir, please!"
Henry's elbow and the rest of his arm were hung over the side as the commander was perilously close to the lava. The younger knight's other arm hooked around a rock jutting out of the ground, offering them some kind of leverage as he tried to figure out how he was going to pull such a large man out of there.
