King Alfred was someone who had seen what the world had to offer but that didn't stop him from wanting more and more.
As he sat atop the platform that had been built simply so he and the princess could sit above the others and observe the hunt unobscured except for the forest itself, his eyes traveled to the makeshift cage sitting in a wagon. Mages stood around it and looked suspiciously around.
He noticed a mage occasionally lift his hand as if testing out the magic that surrounded the cage to make sure what was inside had no chance of escaping.
