The sand sculpture moved with fluid grace, swinging Monsoon in a perfect replica of Ezra's signature downward arc. The crowd gasped, some backing away in fear while others pressed closer in fascination.
The real Ezra stood transfixed as her doppelganger approached her, tilting its head in an eerily bird-like manner. It reached out, taking Ezra's hands in its own. Ezra shivered at the touch – it felt solid, real, the sand somehow warm and alive.
"Lucifer," she whispered, "what did you do?"
But Lucifer looked just as amazed as everyone else. "I... I'm not sure," he admitted. "I just wanted to show them it was more than just sand."
The sand Ezra turned, gesturing for Lucifer to approach. As he did, it took both his and Ezra's hands, joining them together. A smile, startlingly lifelike, spread across its features.
