CHAPTER 20

The moment I heard what my sister said, my mind blacked out for a moment, for the first time in a long time, I was afraid, afraid of losing someone close to me. I couldn't leave her like my parents, what could I do without her, why does this keep on happening to me, why is it that everyone I care about leaves me.

My mind was in chaos, I felt suffocated, I felt pain from the deepest part of my mind, and the memories that I had always tried to keep at bay came rushing at me.

"Hello, brother, you have to come, I can't manage all alone." Layla sobbed.

Her voice laced with pain managed to snap me out of my black out. What was I doing, I had to be strong, if I wasn't then what would Layla do, plus now I am strong, I have a power that only Gods should have, why should I worry, even if she was to die, I could bring her back.

Using my technopathy, I found out where she was, the hospital that my aunt was admitted in, they lived in New York and I was in LA, if I was to drive or fly with an areophane, it would take way too long./

"Calm down Layla, I will be there in a Minute, I am already near, ok? Just hold on." I soothed.

"You better hurry, the doctors need a lot of money to do surgery of her, and we…." she started but I cut her off.

"Don't worry, when I come there everything will be alright." I said firmly.

"Ok, am waiting for you." She said meekly.

Hanging up, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, my sister was quite emotionally weak, the death of our parents apparently affected her more than usual, I almost laughed when I realized she didn't even tell me the hospital they were at.

And as if reading my mind, a message of hers came having the address to the hospital, really funny.

Without wasting time, I teleported to a dark alley nearest to the hospital, walking out, I first hacked into all the nearby cameras to make my presence unknown, then hailed a cab to the hospital. In just a few minutes, I was at the hospital entrance.

The moment I reached, I hurried to the reception where a young beautiful woman was sited doing something on her phone.

"Hello madam, I am looking for Elizabeth Lance's ward," I greeted.

The woman seemed frustrated that I had interrupted whatever she was doing on her phone, she raised her head with slight anger, but the moment she looked at me, she froze.

At first, I thought I was too handsome to the extent of freezing women, but then she started trembling slightly, and I was sure she was holding her breath, wait that isn't normal at all, is it?

That is when I remembered that I was now a Supreme Human, and now every human will feel a sense of worship the moment they look at me.

Now that explains why the cab driver was acting weird. Does that mean I have to always put on a mask, or something?

'System?'

[The host can tone down the effect by just thinking about it]

'Oh, okay. There, done?'

I looked at the receptionist to see if it had really worked, and yes. It really worked, she looked like she had broken out of a spell and started desperately inhaling air, she really would have suffocated.

"Ah, sorry about that. Please what can I help you with?" she asked awkwardly.

I almost laughed out with her expression, but before I could tell her what I needed.

"Brother!" a voice came from behind.

Turning my head around, my eyes fell on a blonde young woman with emerald eyes looking at me with teary eyes, she was the definition of the word beautiful, and sometimes I even wonder if she took all mother's good genes.

Seeing Layla with tears filled me with an indescribable feeling, and before I could say anything, she ran into my arms and tightly held onto me, burying her face into my chest. I also instinctively wrapped my arms around her and rested my chin on her head.

"What took you so long, you said you were near?" she asked without letting go.

"Well, if a certain someone had not forgotten to give me the hospital's address…." I smiled.

After some minutes, with the receptionist girl looking at us like she was eating shit, Layla let go and looked up at me.

"What's up with you, have you like been working out, and what skin care do you use, cause am pretty much sure the Jack I know isn't this beautiful." She muttered.

"Shouldn't you be more worried about aunt?" I laughed.

At the mention of our aunt, her joyful mood plummeted all the way to gloomy. She didn't say one word more but grabbed my hand and led me to aunt's ward after I of course mouthed a thank you to the reception.

............…

"I can't believe you wanted to keep me in the dark about this," Watts said as he held the hand of the bedridden Aunt.

Right now, they were in a room, a hospital room, with white walls, and no windows, only a door. Liz was laid on a bed, wrapped all up in thick bandages with only the face visible, she had an oxygen facility connected to her.

"I didn't want you to worry," Liz replied weakly as she gazed at Watts.

He was sited at one edge of the bed holding her weak and frail hand with Layla on the other side, both looking at her worried.

"Then what about you, what about Layla, what do you think she would have done, what would happen to you?" He asked out loud, almost getting agitated.

Layla gently held his shoulder to calm him down, and as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, he realized he would have done the same if he was in her shoes.

He could only shake his head in frustration, after all his aunt was trying to look out for him, she didn't know he had what only God's should have.

"Anyway, what really happened." He wondered.

"Haa, just an accident, don't wanna talk about it," she replied with closed eyes.

But Watts was now a superhuman, his senses were as sharp as they would get, as she said that, there was a hint of fear in her voice, he didn't know why, but his intuition told him she was lying.

To be sure, a faint blue light passed through his eyes forming a complex made of symbols that flashed in a second and disappeared, this was a truth detection Rune, and it was telling him something appalling.

She was lying.

Now the question was, why would the usually honest aunt lie about an accident, unless it wasn't an accident, but something more. Thinking of the fear in her voice when she talked about it, his eyes turned cold.

Because if there was anyone who had the audacity to hurt his beloved aunt to this extent, then they would not live to the next day.

"Brother, about the bills to take her for surgery, we should go to aunt's workplace and see if we can borrow something from them." Layla's voice suddenly rung out.

"How much is it?" Watts asked.

"You won't manage it alone my dear, let Layla help you," Liz spoke out.

"Let me worry about that, ok? Layla stay here with aunt, I will be back" he said as he got up and strolled out.

As he was making his way to the reception, he activated his technopathy at full throttle, of course he didn't have the money to pay, but very many people had a lot of money, and they didn't even deserve it.

So first, the terrorists, these groups had a lot of investors and so the amount of money they accumulate over time is huge, and he was going to steal them all.

Entering all the encrypted accounts and those registered in disguise, he removed each and every penny from them, he had already made some research on all accounts that belong to terrorist groups.

Not only that, for those who kept their money in cash or assets, he had already found out about the total amounts of these assets or cash through hacking into phones and computer of the leaders.

So, he made it seem as if these groups who didn't keep their money in bank or other accounts had borrowed money from the government as charity organizations.

And so, governments around the world started losing money, but if they followed up, they would find out that the money was borrowed to some charity organizations, yet these groups didn't receive any penny.

Because all the money was taken by Watts, he wanted to just create problems for these terrorists, plus he made sure the amount he 'borrowed' from the government, was greater than what these terrorist groups could afford.

It was like taking a loan but then someone steals all the money from you before you even receive it, truly infuriating.

Without knowing how much he had helped the world, Watts went ahead to change all the money into dollars and put it all on an encrypted ghost account, looking at the money, which was over $80 billion, he couldn't fight the urge to smile.

Right now, he could be considered to be the richest person on earth, plus he had his money all in cash, and so with a slight smile, he transferred $12 million to his normal account but the sender would be untraceable.

He didn't worry now that the police would look for him, because now, he was too big to be scared of the police.
