I reincarnated in my favorite novel as Darkness

an ordinary 18-year-old boy who loved to read novels about reincarnation, died after reacting to a robbery, but did not expect to be reincarnated in his favorite novel. What he didn't imagine is that he wasn't the main character, nor the villain, much less an extra, he was someone that all existences feared, demons, angels and gods, he was the unknown, the fear, the despair of his enemies. He was someone who should have been dead by now...he was the darkness. (Summary for those who don't understand, he is a being that can face the creator of all beings, someone who was born together with the creator.) (A war was fought in the past between the creator and the darkness, although the creator won the war he never managed to kill the darkness and charles was reborn as the new darkness and will wreak irreparable havoc on history.) (I don't speak English, so it is possible that there are grammatical errors): sorry)

Prologue

"Damn, it's already the last chapter," I thought as I walked down an empty street.

I really enjoyed the ending of the novel "I Have a System." The story, well-summarized, was about a boy named Brian who had dreamed of being a hero since he was a child but never had any talent for anything and always suffered for it. Despite everything, he never gave up and always dedicated himself to being stronger and helping others. But one day, villains made a terrorist attack on the city, causing chaos. Brian couldn't do anything and saw innocent people dying in front of him. On his deathbed, he prayed to God for strength, and God granted him a system with super strong abilities that helped him get out of that situation and save some people.

It's a very cliché story, but I liked how the author approached it, leading to a war between angels and demons where humanity was in the middle of the crossfire. In the end, the protagonist marries his girlfriend, a girl who always believed in him.

I confess that the ending moved me. Seeing the end of a story that I've followed since the first chapter leaves your heart empty. But what can you do? I'll look for something else to read, so maybe I'll give up on this novel.

As I walked, I realized that there was someone behind me, but it was too late. When I turned around, a man in a cap and mask pointed a gun at my face. I was shocked, but quickly recovered from the shock, and the thief spoke in an aggressive tone.

"Give me your cell phone and don't do anything if you don't want to die."

Hearing the word "die" made me even more shocked, and a fear that I had never felt before descended on me. By pure instinct, I was handing my cell phone to the thief.

The thief, satisfied with this, decided to act more calmly and reached out to take the cell phone. However, when he held the cell phone, he couldn't remove it. The thief quickly became nervous and said, "Put the phone down."

I, who was holding the cell phone, said in a desperate tone, "Please, I have important files from college and work on this cell phone. I can't lose it. You can take anything, but please don't take my cell phone."

The thief, who was very angry, decided to use the fastest method. He dropped the phone, pointed the pistol at my head, and fired.

Did I die? Well, that was pretty pathetic. I can't believe I was going to die in such a mundane way. Hahaha, maybe my death will be in the paper tomorrow. I was joking, but deep down, I was pretty sad about my death. I guess it was my fault for not believing in God. I was born into a Christian family, and my parents tried to preach this religion to me since I was young. They always told me to have faith in God and that everything would work out. But when I grew up and became interested in science, I saw that God and religion were silly. When I turned 18, I left home to live alone in London because of a scholarship from an award-winning college. I never had many friends, and when I came to London, I distanced myself from the few I had.

Could my life have been different if I had faith in God? I don't think so. I died because of my reckless behavior, and nobody else was involved. If I had given up my cell phone, maybe the situation would be different. But what can I do now? Let's see where I am.

I looked to the side and saw complete darkness. It felt like I was underwater, but I could breathe and swim as much as I wanted. I couldn't see my arms, legs, or stomach, but I could feel them. Strangely, I wasn't desperate. I felt calm, as if this were normal. I said, "What is this place? Everything is so dark, and it looks like I'm here, but it feels like I'm not here. Weird..."

It was very strange. I thought that when we die, our consciousness dies, and we turn into a pile of bones in the future and cease to exist. But seeing this now, I can see how wrong we were.

I kept swimming non-stop for what seemed like an eternity and a few seconds at the same time. Apparently, I didn't get tired here, and I kept doing this over and over again. "Damn, it never changes, not a single light," I said after getting bored of swimming for what seemed like forever. "Well, if I could sleep here, at least it would be more fun, but I don't feel sleepy." I sighed.

When I said that, a dim light could be seen in the distance. It came from what I thought was the ceiling of the space where I was. I immediately swam towards that light. However dim it was, I knew it was the key to getting out of this place. Something inside me said that.

After swimming for what seemed like years, I finally reached the spot and went under the ceiling. I started punching with all my might. At first, it didn't seem to have any effect, but after a while, it started to break more and more. After hours, I threw a punch, and my arm went through the ceiling. When I took it out, a strong white light completely enveloped me. What I found most bizarre was that this light did not reveal any part of my body, much less the space where I was. Everything was still dark. It was like trying to point a flashlight to a distant, dark place with a very dim flashlight.

Ignoring all this strangeness, I swam and completely enveloped myself in the light. If before it was in absolute darkness, now it was in absolute white. And when I least expected it, this light penetrated my eyes, forcing me to close them.

When I opened them again, The scene was chaotic! A bunch of people who looked like students - some fighting, many running, and several lying on the floor with blood on their clothes - were probably dead. But strangely, I didn't care about that. As if it was natural, I stretched my arms in front of me and could see my arms. I was surprised, so I lowered my head and saw my body and legs. What caught my attention was the large amount of blood on my clothes. Strangely, I was wearing the same uniform as the students.

Speaking in a whisper, I said, "How strange, that symbol on the uniform is familiar..." The symbol depicted a sword and shield, which may seem simple, but deep down, I knew what it meant and where I was.

As I tried to make sense of what was happening, I heard a voice behind me speaking in shock. "How? I punctured your chest and ripped out your heart, so how are you alive?"

I looked at him, unable to understand anything. The man wore a black robe with a demonic symbol on it.

The man in front of me was shocked but quickly changed his stance to attack and charged forward, saying, "Well, whatever, I don't know what skill you used, but I'm going to kill you again."

I watched him arrive at an extremely slow speed, as if he was walking slowly on purpose. Looking around at the chaos, I said, "Students are fighting and being killed by men and women in the same robes as this guy. But why does everyone seem to stop? Before they were speeding, but now I wonder what's going on."

Time seemed to have stopped, and I felt like all the people around me were just bugs I could kill with a snap of my fingers. Since I was the only one who could move, I logically thought that I was the cause of the pause in time. I wondered if I could turn time back to normal, so I mentally said a sentence that I said just for fun: "Time to get back to normal."

As if by magic, time flowed again, and the chaos resumed. Unexpectedly, the man who wanted to attack me was already in front of me, using his own arm as a weapon and throwing a punch at my face. Suddenly, his arm, along with his hand, broke when he punched my face. I didn't even move from the spot, surprised because normally our instincts try to block, dodge or even close our eyes, but I didn't do any of that. It was like that attack wasn't a threat to me, and with that feeling, I was sure of one thing: I wasn't human.

"Damn… what did you do to me?" the man asked in a surprised and aggressive tone. I replied, "But weren't you the one who attacked me? Hahaha." I laughed and asked him a question, "But hey, that symbol on your robe, what organization does it belong to?"

The man who heard my question was shocked because everyone knew the symbol of the devil, but he spoke anyway because he knew that the boy in front of him was not the same one he had killed, and he was sure that he was much stronger than him.

"It is the symbol of the greatest organization of villains in the world, named 'Warui'."

He said this in a respectful tone, quite different from the previous one. Charles noticed this but didn't care; he was worried about something else. He realized he was in a familiar world. The man who noticed Charles' awkward silence spoke:

"I don't know how you didn't know that, but that's okay. I think you better run away with the other students, so bye."

He said that and started to carefully distance himself as he turned around and prepared to run, but suddenly the atmosphere changed. A cruel atmosphere, something worse than the massacre that was taking place. Everyone present stopped moving involuntarily, both the students and villains. Nobody said anything; they felt that any movement and speech would result in death. So, Charles spoke in a calm and intimidating tone.

"Who gave you permission to leave?"

Everyone in the place got goosebumps, looked at the guy who said that, and were more shocked. His appearance was surreal. His eyes were completely black, with black veins that came out of his eyes and went to his face. A moon-shaped tattoo formed on the boy's forehead. He kept saying:

"You were right to stop. If you had moved a little more, I think I would have killed you. Hahaha, I don't understand much about myself, but I feel that with a simple snap of my fingers, you would explode."

Charles made the gesture of snapping his fingers as he spoke, and as he finished his sentence, he snapped. The man who was trying to get away literally exploded.

Charles was surprised. He didn't know how his power worked, but he understood the essence, and it was supposed to affect everything, even humans, objects, time, and reality. He felt like a true God. He didn't feel any emotions, something entirely different from his true self.
