One foggy weekend evening,
Auntie Cui screamed from the living room as soon as she finished cleaning up the kitchen.
Elder Chief Jiang poked his head out of the study and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Lulu, Lulu threw up again."
Lulu was a cat that Elder Chief Jiang had kept for nearly 7 years, and suddenly he had become listless in the past few days, vomiting repeatedly even after taking medicine without showing any signs of improvement.
Elder Chief's heart also started to feel heavy with worry.
After cleaning up the mess from Lulu's vomiting, Auntie Cui said to Elder Chief, "I think we better take him to the pet hospital. If it's something serious, it might be too late to save him if we wait too long."
Elder Chief nodded, "Then let's hurry."
Auntie Cui changed clothes, put Lulu into a cat carrier, and was about to leave when Jiang Yi came out of her room.
She said to Auntie Cui, "Let me drive you. It's hard to get a taxi at this hour."
