Chapter 19

|3rd POV|

It has been a month since the Magisters of Lys attacked the Lunaran Family. The news of the death of their Gonfaloniere in battle also spread around Essos. Tyrosh and Myr already sent more mercenaries to the Disputed Land because of this news, thinking that it is their chance because Lys will be busy attacking the Lunaran Family.

Because of this, the Magisters of Lys make an emergency meeting and appoint a new Gonfaloniere to lead the mercenaries against the force of Myr and Tyrosh, who try to take over the Disputed Land under their rule.

Because of this, they ignore Viserys and his people, thinking they are not a big threat. They are assuming that the victory is a fluke. They thought that Donodos did not fight seriously and fell under some sort of trap as Viserys made sure the details of the fight did not get out of the island.

They did not notice the weird movement happening across the Narrow Sea.

Melisandre works fast and manages to get all the things for Viserys' plan to work. At the moment, they are already selling wine made of grapes from Lys Main Island, and the customer feedback is great.

"This wine is great!"

Wyman Manderly exclaimed after tasting the wine in his hand. Of course, it tastes great. All the wine is created inside the Minecraft world and comes out perfect because the law of the world itself forces it into a perfect wine.

The world cannot make something that imperfect, so it will always create wine, or in some cases, it will turn into vinegar.

Wyman looks at Horo and says.

"I never thought you would come here with a barrel of wine after a month of silence, my friend."

"It is because war takes a lot of our time and resources. Because of this, our lord decided to sell something to increase our revenue a little bit more to build a wall around the city."

Wyman nods his head and says.

"And I understand. Building a wall is an expensive thing. Do you need any stones? My people can get some for your people. We will even give you a discount."

"You did not need to worry about that, Lord Wyman. Our land will never lack stone. My lord only needs coins for labor."

"Such a shame. Anyway! How much for the wine? I want to buy three barrels or more."

Horo smiles and says.

"One Dragon will be enough per Barrel."

Wyman looks at him in shock before saying.

"One dragon? Are you out of your mind? Twelve Barrels of Dornish Wine cost me a hundred dragons. And their wines are not as good as yours!"

"This is a price for a friend. Even with the world against us, you are willing to give us a helping hand, and we appreciate that."

Wyman looks at him for a few seconds before sighing.

"Look. As a merchant, you need to be a little bit greedy. I will take one barrel for five dragons."

"But–"

"Stop. You see us as your friends, and we will do the same. As your friend, I cannot give you a dragon for this kind of wine. Take them and tell your lord that we are already thankful for what he has done for us."

Horo can only nod his head and say.

"Very well. I shall inform my lord about this."

"And tell him not to be too kind to others, or he will get taken advantage of by the others."

"I will tell him that."

"Good."

Wyman nods his head, looks at the ships in front of him, and says.

"So, how many ships are selling goods to us?"

"The first to the third ships from the east, my lord. Besides the usual foods, we also sell perfume if you want."

"Oh? Tell me about this perfume."

Horo grins and starts to talk about all the perfume he has on the ship. Perfume is the only thing that comes out the same, even when they create it outside the Minecraft world. Because of this, Viserys asked the others to plant the flowers on the underground farm and create the perfume outside with the barrel he had made.

Wyman takes a sniff of the perfume and instantly loves the smell.

"I will take this."

"Eh? Are you sure, my lord? We still have two more scents."

"No. Not because I don't like them but because I know I will spend a lot more if I smell them. I need to spend less money for the winter."

"What a shame. Very well. Hmmm, how about this? If you buy the entire wheat, vegetables, and fruits in the ship, I will give you a barrel full of perfume."

Wyman thinks for a second before saying.

"Let's talk about the price, and I will think about it."

Horo smiles and starts to negotiate with him.

While Horo is busy negotiating prices with Lord Wyman, Laena Iranaan, the merchant from the Lunaran family that trades with Dornish people, is having a hard time. It is not because she cannot find a buyer; it is the opposite. She gets a lot of customers.

It is because too many of those customers try to woo her and take her as their wife.

After politely declining another merchant, Laena releases a sigh and leans over her chair. She did not like being here. She wants to return home and help her lord strengthen their home. However, she knows that her job is essential to the prosperity of her home.

Lady Melisandre already tells her about the future and even shows her, through the blessing of Lord R'hllor, the future that awaits them.

Her job is important and needs to be done. She only needs to endure it to help the lord, who heals her and shows her freedom once again. This is the least thing she can do.

However, it did not make her job any easier.

"Lady Laena"

She snaps from her thoughts and says.

"Come in."

A second later, a young woman, a former slave just like her, walks inside the room and says.

"Kailyn. What is it?"

"Someone wants to meet you, my lady."

"Who is it? If this is another merchant, tell them that I am busy."

"No, my lady. Lord Oberyn Martell wants to meet you."

Laena's eyes light up as the guest she wants to meet finally arrives. The big fish bites the bait, and now it is time for her to fulfill Lady Melisandre's command.

"Send him in. Also, tell the others to prepare some iced tea. Take some of the ice from our private stash."

"Of course, my lady."

A few seconds later, a man wearing expensive clothes walks inside her office while wearing a cocky and flirty smile.

"Welcome to my office, Lord Oberyn."
