Mr. Jackson came out of the kitchen with a plate of cut fruit, smiling as he spoke.
"Dad, from the moment I walked in the door until now, you haven't even given me a proper look. I'm your baby daughter, and that guy is the villain who's going to whisk away your daughter." Ella approached and coquettishly wrapped her arm around her father's, mumbling unhappily.
She had been worried her parents would be critical of Collins Aiden. Little did she know, they didn't find the slightest fault with him and were even more affectionate to him than to their own daughter.
She was jealous!
"Ella, what nonsense are you talking about? With your temperament, you must have given Collins a hard time often enough. He doesn't even mind, and here you are, calling him a villain."
Mr. Jackson showed no intention of siding with Ella.
"Dad..." Ella was on the verge of tears.
