“There probably aren’t many people here tonight due to the terrible weather. But we’ll have a nice dinner together. My father can talk some with your friend and they can hopefully get comfortable together.”
We walked in quickly, trying not to get soaked even though the car was parked just steps from the front door. Roberto’s father greeted us with a broad smile. He shook my hand and welcomed me to Madrid and to his restaurant. I liked him immediately. He was nothing like my other boss.
“I have several tapas plates nearly ready for you,” he said to us. “Let me pour you some wine while you wait.”
