In actuality, Old Serge had assembled every seasoned hunter at the base. The food supplies that Leng Jun previously sent are going to run out. A new squad is about to be formed, one that will venture on the surface in search of additional food and seed for the base.
Fortunately, they were able to cultivate some artificial land even below earth. Not much was sown, but enough was for the base to plant some vegetables. Solar panels powered the fake sunlight; they were charged every morning. It is, after all, the same sun they recognized, even if it is unable to melt the heavy layer of snow and ice on the surface.
Old Serge looked thoughtful as they discussed the food issue. With Leng Jun, their strongest elementalist, no longer with them, the risk of going hunting outside has increased threefold. This time, the hunting crew was led by Jeremy, Leng Jun's second-in-command.
