Chapter 147- Leo and Zain's encounter(2)

Zain was awakened from his sleep after 2 hours.

He still had the boy's palms gripped in his hands. It was all sweaty, but Zain had an indescribable feeling in his heart.

"How long it will take Dr. Mills?" Zain asked in his hoarse voice while taking a sip of water provided by the attending nurse.

"An hour more Zain." Dr. Mills immediately responded and focused his attention back on Leo.

"Everything alright? How is he? Will he be alright after this?" Zain questioned again. He was feeling a bit restless. He was already aware of Stem Cell transplant and the risk associated with it. The idea of something bad happening to his kid was not sitting well with him.

"Well. We are hoping for everything to be fine. Next two months will be important for his recovery." Dr. Mills explained further and became silent suddenly. After a couple of minutes, he asked again, "Do you want to see him?"

"Ah-mm. Can-I?" Zain stuttered for the very first time.
