After our day off we came back to the academy knowing that the person we are looking for doesn't teach, so most likely he has his lab hidden nearby.

I became a model to the class after i created a new type of magic, making up my low magic capabilities with my magical knowledge.

After i enhanced a sword with mana... Who the hell hasn't thought of that yet?!? Guess it's bound to start somewhen i guess, i was also made representative for the class.

And skyler was made representative due to her affinity with magic along with her great weapon mastery, being an expert on all weaponry, but she did tell me there's a weapon she can't master.

She also said it doesn't exist here, show off! Also, no matter what magic we use it seems we couldn't find the lab around the school, it was either outside the school or it was in a spell making it invisible even with magic.

Would make sense why everyone seems relaxed to be honest. Not knowing is a blessing, after a week of finding nothing about the base or the professor.

We came back to the academy but it was too quiet... No students or teachers outside the academy, the buildings nearby are silent, and there are no patrolling guards...

We took our swords and bursted inside the academy, and we saw a sign. "city currently gonna be undersiege from rebel armies. To anyone who sees this message please take shelter or run away, the city will be given up due to lack of fighting personnel."

Then i looked at skyler and she looked at me, no wonder the city was empty, the people who stayed here were people who were brave enough to defend till their last breath.

She asked "you thinking what I'm thinking?" i replied "create traps to slow down and damage the incoming enemy to make the battle easier and reduce casualties?"

She looked surprised and said "i was thinking slaughter them all before they reach the city but that works!"

We were about to leave when i suddenly got a window notification.

I pulled skyler's hand and said "this... Might be a problem..." she looked at me and asked "what do you mean?" then i told her about the quest.

She sighed and said "in that case i have no choice but to watch from the walls..." then she grabbed my shoulders and told me "come back alive... Ok?"

I said ok and then she hugged, she said "i don't wanna lose you..."
