I Gave Birth To The Male Lead's Child

Having died in a plane crash, Camille believed she was lucky to have gained a second chance at life when she woke up in a different body. So her surprise was great when she soon realized that the world she was now in seemed awfully familiar to the novel she had read a long time in the past. She could not remember much about it but was absolutely confident of one fact. “The male lead did not have any children!” She growled while looking at the bulging belly that was beginning to get noticeable. The novel she had read was about a cold and stern male lead who did not experience love at first sight but slid down the slope called love in a gradual and well-preserved manner. Even the woman he had eventually fallen in love with was someone comparable to him in all ways. They shared similar traits of being the best and not settling for less which was something that Camille had liked about the novel. However, there wasn’t much to read about two perfect individuals falling in love with each other. Hence she had absentmindedly completed the book before throwing it in the back of her mind, thus forgetting about it until now. But who would have thought that she would end up inside that very novel she had disliked for its characters being too perfect? Not only was she inside that novel but the body she possessed was a nameless passerby who would soon be giving birth to the male lead’s child. Yet Camille was confident that there had been no mention of the male lead having children with anyone throughout the novel! At the same time, the vivid memories of the night the original owner of this body had spent with the male lead were also irrefutable. Therefore, considering all sides of the story, there was only one path she could choose in this situation. “I will stay away from the male lead and let him have his slow-burn romance with the female lead!” She declared what she would do and was determined to see this mission through to the end. However, the man who kept approaching her made it seem that her mission was in jeopardy before it could even begin. __ Camille: I might lose my life if I get too close to the male lead… Male lead: When did I ever say that!? __ This novel has pregnancy, adorable babies, child care, and a whole lot of fluff~

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

'Why now!?' Camille groaned out loud as another wave of acidic liquid spewed out of her mouth.

Just a moment earlier, she was rejoicing for having discovered the reason why she had developed such strong emotions for the child within her.

However, that feeling was suppressed when she felt her stomach twist and tumble once again.

Turning her torso towards the toilet next to her, Camille was retching all over again.

The pain that radiated from her stomach made its way up to her throat being with it a miserable feeling as she spewed mouthfuls of liquid into the toilet.

This continued for the next few minutes and only when she felt that she could vomit no more did she sit back on the floor, reclining against the same wall as before.

'Why did I have to transmigrate at this point!?' She growled inwardly while placing her hand over her aching stomach.

In almost every single novel she had read that contained topics of transmigration in relation to childcare, the transmigrator soul enters the body of a mother whose child is already at least a few years old.

The child was usually at the age where they would hesitantly communicate with their neglectful mother about whom they had an adverse opinion in the past.

The child had their own unpleasant thoughts and opinions about their mother which the transmigrator would have to change through her effort and hard work.

Not once had there been a novel where the transmigrator had to personally go through the experience of pregnancy and childbirth right after entering a new world.

'Or at least in the books I had read!' She added as there could have been such a book but she had never come across one herself.

Realizing that she wasn't given the easy way out, Camille let out a loud sigh.

Unlike other transmigrators who had the joy of raising a child without actually going through the painful process of childbirth, she had to experience everything personally.

'The good, the bad, and the ugly.' She grumbled while wiping the sweat which had formed on her forehead.

In those novels, the transmigrator would always squeal in admiration upon meeting a cute little child who looked up at her with worry and apprehension evident in their wide and innocent eyes.

Looking at the squishy cheeks of the child, the transmigrator would often joke that she could experience the joys of motherhood and care for such an adorable little angel without actually suffering through pregnancy and childbirth.

When Camille had read these books in the past, she too had snickered at this thought.

Enjoying the perks of having a child without truly giving birth would have been a pleasant experience for her as well.

However, Camille had not entered this body after the child was born and was old enough to communicate.

Instead, she was brought into this world and this body at such a time that she would experience everything right from the beginning.

Unlike other transmigrators who only had to care for and play with a child who was already a few years old, she would have to cherish the fetus in her womb and soon bring it into this world through the painful process of childbirth.

This thought was now making her clutch her head in despair as she had heard numerous horror stories about pregnancy and childbirth in her previous life.

'I did not even sleep with that man!' She lamented as the original Camille was the one who had enjoyed the process of making this baby but she would be the one to see this through to the end now.

Camille would not have felt so unfair if she had spent the night with him which led to this pregnancy.

Unfortunately, she had entered this world well after the deed was done and hence had no part to play in it.

However, recalling that the man her predecessor had slept with was none other than the male lead whom she had to avoid at all costs, Camille let out an awkward cough for even having such a ridiculous thought.

'If I had transmigrated earlier then I would have stayed the hell away from him in the first place!' She pumped her fists in the air as appearing anywhere close to that man would only lead to disaster for her and potentially her family as well.

"Miss!"

"Oh! The cold floor!"

Just a moment ago, Camille was so lost in her deep train of thought that she had been unable to hear the sound of the bathroom door being opened.

Therefore, the sudden appearance of two figures rushing in her direction started her, causing her to freeze in the same position.

In this way, the figures who were now before her had caught her in an embarrassing posture as she sat on the bathroom floor with her fists high up in the air.

Thankfully, it seemed as though the two newcomers had not noticed her awkward pose as their attention was focused elsewhere.

Using this to her advantage, Camille lowered her hands as quickly as she could and sighed in relief upon realizing that her sneaky actions did not catch their eye.

"Miss, give me your hands!" One of the newcomers urged with his hands stretched in her direction.

Glancing at the wrinkled hand that was extended toward her, Camille subconsciously accepted it and soon was lifted from her spot on the cold bathroom floor.

Finally on her feet after staying in the same position for the last many minutes, her legs felt numb and lifeless.

She would have surely stumbled had it not been for the gentle yet cautious hands that were holding onto her to keep her safe.

Looking up at the man who had saved her, Camille shot him a grateful smile as she took a good look at his face.

This was the same man who had greeted her last night when she had returned with Christopher.

According to the memories belonging to this body, this man was the current butler of the Lin family, Butler Abel Quan.

He was the right-hand man and confidante of this body's father and was a trustworthy person whom even the original Camille liked and cherished as a member of their family.

These memories about the butler now gave Camille a good idea of the kind of person he was and thus her impression of him was elevated right away.

While she was still pondering about the pleasant relationship between the butler and her predecessor, she was brought out of the bathroom and made to sit on her bed.

"Miss?" A soft and tender voice called out to her, snapping her out of her thoughts once again as she turned in the direction of this new voice.

The owner of this voice was holding something out to her but Camille did not stretch out her hand to accept this item.

Earlier, two individuals had hurried toward her but she had only focussed on Butler Quan as she had memories related to him that appeared in her mind upon laying eyes on him.

However, the second person had not caught her attention as the face she had seen was a new one that did not trigger any past memories which could allow her to recognize who this other person was.

Hence she glanced up at the new face with confusion evident in her eyes.
