Chapter 14

The merchant was thinking if it was possible that the 'savage' actually notices the usage of the Gift by one of his guards. While he was not afraid even if they were found out considering that they outnumbered the savage, he still likes to do his job cleanly.

If it was possible to capture the savage without exerting much effort then that is the most ideal situation.

The merchant's thoughts were immediately proven correct when Xianth glared at them.

"I had my suspicions but I didn't want to be judgy. In the end, I was left disappointed!" Xianth said with a cold tone.

He raised his hand and at the tip of his finger, mana gathered. He flicked his finger and the small point of mana exploded.

"Do you think I wouldn't notice your activation of Gift?" Xianth asked the guard that tried to use the pollen to make him lose consciousness.

Xianth's Gift is energy manipulation and that Gift also made him sensitive to all forms of energy.

Gifts required an energy source to be activated and in this case, the energy source is mana. As such, Xianth easily sensed the almost invisible pollen.

He does not know exactly what the pollen is for but he knew it was bad news.

"Hmph, so what if you noticed? A savage like you is only worthy to be sold as a slave! Get him!" The fat merchant ordered before retreating and his three guards immediately surrounded Xianth.

He had the thought of using Ischyros' aura to weaken these people but he decided not to do so. This is a chance for him to roughly gauge how powerful he is.

The young man slammed his right foot on the ground and his pores released his mana, forming a blue aura all over his body.

He also raises his hand while clenching his fist. He was ready to attack and defend any moment from now.

As a person that does not have much fighting experience, Xianth has to make sure that he would not let his guard down.

"Just surrender, your resistance is futile!" Guard 1 said before he raised both of his hands.

On his palm, flowers suddenly grew and these flowers sprayed tiny pollens that attempted to enter Xianth's system.

Since he doesn't know what the pollens could do, Xianth took backward steps to prevent himself from inhaling it.

However, he has more than one enemy. Behind him, Guard 2 moved his hands to the side, and on his palms, sharp metallic swords grew out.

Guard 2 charged at Xianth, attempting to poke holes in his body using those swords.

Xianth found out that despite the fact that he is inexperienced, his physical stats made him feel like his enemies were attacking in a not-so-fast or too slow manner.

It was just enough for him to react perfectly and he lowered his body, dodging the swords that were only able to cut a few strands of his blonde hair.

In return, Xianth moved his right hand behind him and he grabbed the fabric of Guard 2's clothes and threw him in front of him.

That causes Guard 2 to fall prey to Guard 1's pollen attack and he instantly loses consciousness.

"Fuck! You sneaky bastard!" Guard 3 cursed as the tips of his fingers almost detached themselves from the rest of his hand.

On the gap between the tip of his fingers and the rest were black cables that are completely under his control

Xianth suddenly found himself facing the attack of ten fingertips connected to black cables and these cables attempted to bind him while Guard 1 was releasing another type of pollen on Guard 2. That might be the antidote for the first pollen and before Guard 2 can regain consciousness, Xianth wants to lessen the number of his enemies.

He gathered mana at his palms and condensed it into two orbs of energy. He used quite a bit of energy on these orbs before he threw them toward the cables.

Boom! Boom!

The energy orbs exploded, effectively hindering and injuring Xianth's enemy and he suddenly charged at Guards 1 and 2.

Currently, the one that made Xianth feel threatened the most was Guard 1. He does not like those pollens.

At the very least, he could fight Guard 2 and 3 through pure firepower. But for Guard 1, that pollen attack was sneaky and would render the victim unconscious.

If Xianth were to lose consciousness in this battle he might wake up and find himself being sold as a slave.

In almost no time, thanks to his enhanced physical abilities, Xianth reached Guard 1 and he immediately threw a kick at the man's jaw.

A full grown man with a muscular body was sent flying in the air as blood gush out of his mouth.

At this point, Guard 2 just regained his consciousness and the first thing that he did was to fire the swords on his palms at Xianth.

The young man didn't expect that Guard 2 would regain his consciousness that fast. His inexperience also showed itself.

Physical ability wise, he has the power to prevent himself from being hurt by those swords.

However, his fight-or-flight instincts negatively affected him. Since this situation was unexpected, he was not able to decide fast between blocking and dodging

In the end, Xianth managed to block one of the swords by throwing a punch at it while the other one grazed his side.

A cut wound appeared on Xianth's side and he bled, the pain causes him to hiss loudly. As a person that lived his whole life on earth until recently, he never had the chance to be injured by a sword.

His pain tolerance was not that great and his movements were severely affected. In the end, Guard 3 managed to bind him with his cables.

The cables tightly wrapped themselves around his body causing his wound to further worsen and he started losing more blood. This was a very painful experience for him.
