Meeting

Getting out of bed after waking up Charles washes his face and brushes his teeth whilst glancing at his War God Axe Arts Manual that he uses to practice his axe arts. Despite being the most powerful axe arts the school has to offer no one apart from him has stuck to it as it requires an immense amount of pain as the practice requires you to practice a from per boundary. Right now he is at the peak of the Axe User Boundary which means he has to practice his chopping motion until his muscles are torn and near paralyzed. The rates of someone crippling themselves from over practicing the manual is at a rate of 99.9% where only the most determined and perseverant person can practice it to greater heights, either that or they are extreme masochists.

*Sigh*

"When will I break through its already been a month since I hit the bottleneck preventing me from breaking into the Axe Student Boundary." He despondently said once more sighing before putting it to the back of his mind. Dressing himself in his usual choice of clothing (black shoes, black socks, black trousers and a white shirt with the top two buttons undone). He rarely wears anything different as his late mother complimented him for the last time when he visited her saying that he looked just like his father, who died before he was born from a sudden beast tide instigated from one of the beasts from the core area when a human enraged it by kidnapping its child, ever since then it was his favourite style of clothing. Not forgetting to take his axe with him he puts it on his back going from his left shoulder to his right leg as he was right handed. His axe had a total length of 1.4 metres which was just about 3/4 his height and had a menacing weight of 600 pounds, although not the maximum weight he can carry but it is the highest weight he can control perfectly.

Walking out of his room he feels a slight chilling breeze in the morning air signifying that it will soon be the end of autumn ushering in the winter. Not fazed in the slightest at the chill he continued walking through the school to the exit of the campus ground which was a massive gate which had the schools badge on it at the top with some strange language written beneath it. The badge was a closed book with two swords crossed together on top of a heart. The strange language unbeknownst to him was actually just English from earth and said 'Knowledge is Power and Power gives birth to Hope.'. Reaching under the gate he notices deputy head Edmond standing to the side of the gate waiting for him and looked rather irritable with a slight frown on his expression. "Took you long enough lets go" Grumbling as he took off not taking notice of Charles at the moment.

Travelling through the city Charles looked around as it provoked lots of his childhood memories where he would stroll around whilst holding his mothers hand and marvelling at the different people and things he could see. Now that she is gone it was one of his favourite past times when he wasn't training. "What are you dilly-dallying for, move it" Edmond chastised him to hurry up so they wouldn't end up late to the meeting point. With his reminiscing over he quickly caught up and left the market and then entered the housing area where the high class people lived, the size of their housing estate never ceased to amaze him as they owned half a square kilometre of land, what he failed to realise was that his school own ten times the size the upper class did. Then they walked through the middle class area where he saw nine massive mansions, although the middle class didn't own land like the upper class they were still better off than the lower class who lived in a slum like environment. The mansions were similar to ancient Greek houses as they had a bid housing space and a private courtyard whereas the higher class lived in more feudal China like housing with the massive lower floor that had kitchens, living rooms etc and an upstairs that was for bedrooms and studies. Of course they also had the garden with the mini ponds with fish that looked like this worlds version of koi fish and rock garden that exuded a natural feeling of being in nature.

Exiting the middle are they came upon the slum like area where the poor lived, most of them couldn't afford a proper house so lived in a thatched hut. Those lucky enough to actually own a brick house were employed by the middle class or upper class, though mostly the middle class as the upper usually had families within their land that had served them for generations. Although he felt pity for them he was just one man and couldn't change societies structure just because he felt it was wrong as he would definitely face pressure from not just the upper class but also the middle class as they are fine with what they have now, some wanting more than what they have now even.

Finally exiting from the city they begin rushing on the road there. Yes, they could have hired a carriage to take them to the meeting point but that would require an extra three days rather than them running there themselves as they are much faster than a horse.

~Next morning~

After rushing they managed to make it in time. They were currently in a little clearing just outside the outer area of the Bestial Forest which was a grass filled area with some boulders around the border making it an ideal camping/meeting area. As they were the furthest away from the forest they had to push themselves to make it before the starting time for the meeting. "I swear they did this on purpose" Muttering under his breath as he cursed the other schools and sects in his mind. Checking around they noticed that a few were already here and that the only ones missing were The Holy Church and The School of Science. As you can infer from the names, The Holy Church believes that the world was created by an almighty 'God' and that you go to the 'Heaven' if you believe in him and if you don't believe in him then you end up in a 'Hell' or 'Purgatory' to be judged and The School of Science is the exact opposite where they believe the world was created from a natural occurrence where dense masses of gas collided and created a massive explosion which then beacame the elements which started to collide and create planetary bodies and then life began on those planetary bodies. There has been no shortage of collisions between both superpowers throughout the years which has turned into a feud which can no longer be stopped as neither side is willing to back down without the other conceideing that their belief is wrong. Making his way over to a boulder to sit down he starts checking out his 'teammates' as they were also checking him out. Currently the powers that had made it so far were Charles' Warriors Academy, the Adventurers Guild, the NIrvana Pheonix Sect and the Azure Dragon Sect. The Assassins Guild and the Mercenary Guild didn't come as they didn't care about aanything regarding the forest whilst the two evil sects, the Frigid Asura Sect and the Sensual Succubi Sect were also not invited as they were archenemies of the other two sects that came. That was the current power balance of the super powers of this world/realm: 1 Church, 4 Sects, 3 Guilds and 2 Academies/Schools. Done checking out his new teammates Charles closes his eyes and rests up as he used up quite a bit of stamina rushing here.

~One hour later~

"You're late" The solo adventurer coldly said to the newly arriving people from the church and school. They both also seemed to have some injuries on eachother whilst also arriving at the same time which meant that they had bumped into each other on the way and started fighting each other. "Sorry, we happened to meet outside of the meeting area and they just didn't appreciate the fact that I was so kind to tell them the truth" The teen from the School of Science said in slight exasperation. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE TRUTH YOU ... !" Screamed the teen that came with the church nearly losing the plot when being further antagonized by the other for his belief in a higher power. As the other teens from the side they were inwardly mocking them for their lack of self control in the current situation, the representatives on the side were talking about who should take the lead for the teens started getting a little heated up as they weren't going to reach a conclusion anytime soon. Eventually Edmond had to recommend "Why not just let the kids have a little fight to see who leads?". Coming to a consensus they told the kids that they were to have to challenge each other for the right to lead. Hearing that they were going to fight the teens eyes lit up as they thought of challenging the others.

Hey,

I received a review with some good criticism alerting me that I didn't put much emphasis on certain things which I'll begin to add to my novel. Originally I was going to make it up to you guys by doing 2 chapters a day but now I'll just make 1 longer chapter.

If you notice that I'm lacking anything please don't hesitate to leave some constructive criticism for me.

And thanks again to those that vote power stones and comment on the novel.
