Chapter 140: Misunderstanding

The demolished city was unnervingly silent.

The surviving citizens, who had just been on the brink of despair moments earlier, still stood frozen in fear after watching the purple light that almost repeated their worst nightmare. The S-Class heroes remained still despite having a battle with Melzargard, as even the alien himself paused, all eyes turned skyward.

A powerful gust of wind tore through the ruins, whipping at Tsuna as he locked eyes with Geryuganshoop. The alien's body glowed with a strange, shifting light that pulsed like a rainbow.

"Puny ape!" Geryuganshoop's voice roared with fury, "Your treachery knows no bounds! Now, the great Geryuganshoop-sama will show you just how doomed you are!"

The wind howled even louder, its force growing as Tsuna watched intently. It whipped around the alien's glowing form, spiraling into a violent tornado. The debris from the shattered battleship, yet to be liquefied, was drawn toward the swirling vortex, circling the alien like a storm of destruction.

Tsuna's eyes flickered with an idea. His mind raced, the chaos around him suddenly coming together like pieces of a puzzle.

"Now, die!"

Geryuganshoop shrieked, the tornado closing in.

"You wish!"

Tsuna shot back, a grin spreading across his face despite the blood trickling from his nose. His hands clasped together, summoning every ounce of strength as his body trembled under the pressure.

The debris, pulled into the tornado, suddenly began to liquefy under his control, swirling around the alien. The liquid substance of metal he had liquified earlier also moved sharply toward the alien encasing his glowing body.

"You must've never thought of this, don't you? Hahaha!"

Tsuna ignored the metallic taste of blood in his throat and laughed, his voice rough but triumphant.

"If I'm an ape," Tsuna taunted, his eyes gleaming with defiance, "then with how dumb you are, what does that make you?"

"Y-You!"

Geryuganshoop's body trembled as an immense surge of energy radiated outward, causing Tsuna's eyes to widen in shock. He cursed, ''The hell? He can still keep going?''

Despite the sudden spike in power, Tsuna noticed the wind was still fiercely swirling around them.

"You want to know what you are?" He taunted. "You're an octopus that's gonna turn into a butterfly—Octofly!"

"…"

Everyone on the ground below who heard his shout stared up at Tsuna in stunned disbelief. His naming sense was beyond ridiculous. Even Superalloy, who had been flexing his muscles with confidence, faltered, nearly stumbling in confusion.

But Tsuna wasn't finished yet.

As his ridiculous words echoed across the sky, a sudden and powerful fluctuation of energy rippled through the air—a disturbance that only Tatsumaki, as an esper, sensed.

"You wretched ape!"

Geryuganshoop roared. Seething anger surged through the alien, tearing at his very core as the liquid remnants of the battlefield closed in around him. His vision blurred, and the last thing he saw was Tsuna's irritating grin—an infuriating image seared into his mind before the liquid engulfed him completely.

"Now, time to put you to sleep, ugly Octofly…"

The liquefied remains of the battleship, along with the scattered debris, swirled like a living tide, coiling around Geryuganshoop and trapping him in a prison of molten metal.

"Fuck, my chi is almost completely depleted," He mumbled as he spit out some blood and wipe his nose as he flicked his finger, channeling the tiny bit he had as the liquid solidified instantly, forming an unbreakable shell.

Geryuganshoop's glowing form dimmed, sealed beneath the cold, impenetrable metal. The battlefield fell into an eerie silence, the chaos momentarily frozen in time. Tsuna's final words echoed through the still air, "Goodnight, Octofly."

Unfortunately...

The metal ball containing Geryuuganshoop suddenly trembled. Thin cracks started to form along its surface, glowing with a rainbow hue from within. Then, with a deafening explosion, the ball shattered, sending shards of metal flying in every direction.

"Well, I wasn't surprised at all..."

Tsuna's eyes narrowed as he watched the alien emerge, glowing more brightly than ever. Geryuuganshoop's hollow eyes locked onto him, filled with burning rage, before a realization flickered across its features.

"Kuhahaha!"

It let out a chilling laugh.

"You wretched ape!" Geryuuganshoop cackled. "You're finished! You used everything you had to try and seal me, and now look at you! You have nothing left! Nothing!"

The alien's laughter echoed through the air as a surge of its esper energy filled the sky, its confidence swelling, "How dare you look down on me with such pathetic force!"

From a distance, Tatsumaki, who had been watching the battle unfold, simply scoffed at the alien's arrogance. She cast a glance at Tsuna, who hadn't even flinched. A sly smirk formed on her face as she muttered, "How foolish."

"You know, I agree with you," Tsuna said, his voice unsettlingly calm for someone who was powerless as he continued, "Even at my best, I wouldn't stand a chance against you. But it seems you've misunderstood something..."

Geryuganshoop's hollow eyes blinked, his sneer quickly fading. Confusion crossed his face as he stared at Tsuna.

"What the... hell are you... on... !!!"

However, that sneer, born from overconfidence, slowly turned into horror. Tsuna's grin widened as he gestured behind him, his words dripping with smug satisfaction.

"I didn't use all my chi for you," Tsuna said, glancing back as the alien's expression morphed into fear. "I used it for those."

A chorus of mechanical whines filled the air.

All the missiles Tatsumaki had sent skyward earlier were now homing in on Geryuganshoop's glowing form, streaking through the sky with the alien as its target. Tsuna waved his hand tiredly as the floating scrap of metal slowed his descent.

"I've said it before, but I'll say it again..." His eyes glinted with a quiet finality as the missiles drew closer. "Goodnight, Octofly."

BOOM!

The sky exploded with a deafening roar as the missiles struck their target to oblivion.

The blast rippled through the air, sending shockwaves so powerful they reverberated across the demolished city. Heroes on the ground staggered back, gritting their teeth as they struggled to maintain their footing while shielding their faces from the onslaught of flying debris.

"Ah, fuck..."

Tsuna was unable to hold his position and was flung violently toward the ground. His body tumbled through the air as dust and shrapnel whirled around him like a storm.

The ground rushed up to meet him as his life flashed before his eyes in a brief moment. He braced himself for impact, the scent of dirt and destruction filling his nose. But then—he stopped, suspended mid-air, his fall suddenly halted.

He hovered just inches from the ground, the smell of earth sharp in his nose.

"Hmph, of course, I had to save your ass too..."

That familiar, irritating voice cut through the chaos. It was still just as annoying, yet it brought a smile to his face now. Somehow, it didn't sound as annoying as usual. He chuckled, "Of course, you're the best!"

"H-Hmph!"

Tsuna's smile grew even wider. He didn't need to look up to know Tatsumaki was blushing, flustered by his response. She was weak to compliments after all.
