CHAPTER 10
Xie Fu had arrived in Colón, city adjacent to the entrance to the Panama Canal by the Caribbean Sea. His presence was needed to deal personally with the locals the way of moving his shipments of ephedrine from China so they could access markets in the United States and other American countries located on the Atlantic Ocean. He had already prepared the contacts through a Chinese merchant in town and had created a shell company in Panama City through financial contacts in Shanghai. Seven of his best men had preceded him on his journey and had arrived in Colón two days before. Among them were Lin, his administrative right hand, his personal servant and five gunmen who at that point should have obtained the weapons that were arranged for them in Panama.
