Chapter 12

"Did you really have to make King Arthur into a female?" Cori asked as she just finished fighting the goth version of Artoria. She was leisurely playing it while laying on the couch in only her underwear. The game wasn't released yet, but she got to enjoy it early and test it out for me.

"Correction." I grinned at her while sitting close by and typing away on my laptop. "You're the one that made King Arthur female because you drew the art."

"You know what I meant." She rolled her eyes.

"Cori." I looked her in the eyes, conveying how serious this was. "As a Devil you should understand this. Sex sells. People, men, women, doesn't matter, they love the horny."

Cori blinked at me before nodding. "You're… not wrong. And that mature version came out really nice…"

She shook her head, snapping out of her fantasies. "But why did you make a few characters that look eerily similar to her? I know they are different Servants because you told me as much when I drew them for you."

To that, I had only one thing to say, "Umu."

In response, Cori rudely threw ice spikes my way, forcing me to block them with my body lest they damaged my laptop. I was doing important work on it and hadn't saved it the past hour or so.

"At least you made the… bad guy? Not be, you know, the entirety of the Devil race," Cori said with huff.

"Clearly, it's a representation of the Old Satan faction," I replied with a smirk. I did briefly consider making Goatia into an alien or something like that, but that just didn't fit with the original story.

"Yes, clearly." Cori chuckled before focusing on her screen, staring at a particular character. "Hopefully, she won't make a fuss about this…"

"That's obviously not Magical Girl Levi-tan, but Caster Leviathan. Their appearance is even slightly different!" I figured including one of the Satans would make it obvious this game wasn't a shot at their race.

Leviathan was a perfect fit since she even had her own Magical Girl show! Now that was some good civilization right there. She had my respect for that alone.

"Try that other mode for me now that you're done with this." I wanted to get her opinion on this specifically. I already knew that people would like the main game–I saw that in my past life–but I did add a new little addition.

"Alright." Cori nodded and tapped on her phone as she hummed, "Which to choose?"

In my past life, I didn't have the option to throw cash at gacha games. Of course, this game was aimed at whales that would happily spend all of their money just to get their favorite character and max them out. However, I wanted to give free-to-play players a better chance.

That's why I created a Vampire Survivor-esque mode where they could play with their unlocked Servants. They would fight hordes of enemies, gain upgrades and skill depending on their Class and character, and get the chance to obtain materials and recourse to ascend their Servants by finding chests around the map. Should they survive and win, which should take them at least half an hour, they would even earn a single pull.

I figured that was a great time waster, something rewarding for them to do while they waited for their stamina to recharge. Plus, this would give them a chance to max out their Servants without spending money, even if it would take them weeks to do it this way.

I was an evil son of a bitch for introducing this game to this innocent world. However, I still cared for my fellow gamers, especially those that didn't have the capitol to throw at a random gacha game.

"It's kind of fun!" Cori declared after two hours of playing it, testing all the characters she liked since she had them all unlocked.

"Kind of?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. She wasted two hours on this mode alone, and that's what she had to say?

"Fine." Cori placed her for to the side as she rolled her eyes. "It was really fun. Happy?"

I hummed in response, continuing with my work. This was important, but damn if it wasn't time consuming! Creating a virtual intelligence took a lot of time. Who could've guessed?

"Hehe." Cori chuckled as she slowly started crawling my way. "I know of a way to make you happy."

She got off the couch and crawled between my legs, eyes staring into mine the entire time. Ever so slowly, she pulled down my pants, my shaft jumping out in excitement of what was to come.

"Someone's eager." Cori smirked, grabbing my erection with one hand while she removed her bra with the other. Her breasts popped out, and she leaned closer, enveloping my shaft with those mountains of flesh.

"Hoo." I exhaled slowly as she started squeezing my erection, rhythmically moving her breasts up and down.

The sensation was incredible, and the speed which my fingers typed soared as I was suddenly filled with inspiration. It was so weird how much more productive I became after or even during such moments. I couldn't explain this phenomenon, but it worked in my favor, so I would take it!

Cori finally looked away and leaned down, licking the tip of my shaft every time it popped out of her breasts. Moments later, she let it free, only to lean down even further and capture my erection with her mouth. Her tongue swirled around my length, just in the ways she knew I enjoyed.

One of my hands grabbed her head, and I started directing her movements, my shaft pushing and hitting against her throat while she continued licking it up and down. Her pouty lips sloppily sucked, and I felt myself growing close. With a final push, I held her head as she took my entire length before finishing in her mouth.

Cori pulled back, breathing hard while saliva dripped down her mouth. It took her a moment to regain her breath before she smirked at me. She opened her mouth to show she had drunk it all before shooting me a wink.

"Alright! That's it!" I closed my laptop before lifting her up and throwing her over my shoulder.

"Oh, no~ I have been captured by a barbarian~" She wiggled in my grasp, legs kicking in the air with token resistance.

"This barbarian." I slapped her ass, watching it jiggle enticingly. "Will break yet another bed with you."

"Woe is me~" She giggled as I carried her to my bedroom.

The game was released a couple of days later on both PC and mobile. It turned out that the smartphones in the human world had surprisingly good specs despite their blocky appearance. That was a bit of an eye-opener, but it worked in my favor, so I didn't think too much about it.

There was very little fanfare with the game's release. A part of me was expecting that Grimoire might activate, but I knew better. If it hasn't rewarded me for creating a Gravity Chamber, then why would it give me something for making a gacha game?

"Huh." There was a surprising number of people that signed up and downloaded the game. Sure, I spent a lot of money for ads for both the human and Devil net, but this was outside of my expectations.

"Damn." Whales started throwing their weight around just an hour after its release. They pretty much paid for the upkeep of the servers already, and those cost a pretty penny.

"This makes sense." I nodded to myself. A majority of those large spenders seemed to be from the Devils from what I gathered. If anyone had money to throw away willy-nilly, it would be them.

I spend a bit more time just watching the numbers go up, feeling a sense of deep satisfaction. The Gacha Gods have been pleased with this offering! Surely they would reward me with a good power from my Grimoire whenever it activated next. I snorted and got up.

After filling the table with food, I sat comfortably on my couch with my phone in hand, prepared to go to sleep. One side of my brain turned off while the other continued controlling my body on autopilot.

I leisurely scrolled through the book on my phone, my perfect memory ensuring that the knowledge was engraved in my brain. At the same time, I casually ate from the assortment of snacks, breaking down the food and turning it into Ki before feeding it to my Seal.

This was how I typically spend my nights nowadays. Just increasing my reserves while learning more and more. Unless I went to hunt, that is.

The Underworld was a massive place, filled with all kinds of different supernatural creatures. Some were way too dangerous for me to fight against, but Saiborg's peerage knew of many locations that were perfect for me.

My progress has been quite amazing due to that. Two of my powers had an incredible synergy, and I slowly gained all kinds of predatory traits while increasing my overall strength by a tiny amount with each kill. The increase was honestly barely noticeable, especially since it was an all-inclusive one that boosted every single one of my parameters.

And I do mean every single one since my Ki and even my Magical reserves had experienced a very minimal growth. Finally, I had a way to grow my Magic! I just had to kill an uncountable number of enemies for that…

Honestly, the feeling of slaughtering my way through a location filled with monsters was… a bit too addictive. I could easily see myself doing it every single night, just relishing in the sensation of growing in strength with each kill. However, I only went out to hunt every other day or so, wishing to keep a small sense of normalcy.

I was no longer, in any shape or form, normal. I knew that much. My mind had turned into an instrument that could decipher the secrets of the universe while my body had become the perfect killing machine.

Yet… I still liked to pretend that I was still a normal human. Those nights of relaxation–disregarding the fact that I continued improving myself during them–grounded me and made me feel like I wasn't a senseless monster that only wished to slaughter.

Hmm. Perhaps the virtual reality game I planned could relieve some of those urges? I might need to rush its creation, though I needed more than just a simple virtual intelligence for that. How troublesome.

My sense of danger buzzed to life a few hours into the night. Something had just happened, but I couldn't tell what. All I knew was that it wasn't good for me, so I immediately shot up, now fully awake.

My ears twitched, and I picked up six distinctive footsteps approaching my house. Another confirmation that there was something foul going on.

My first instinct was to contact my friends. It only made sense to ask for help when I was dealing with the unknown.

"Damn," I quietly whispered. Somehow the connection was blocked, preventing me from seeking help.

"This the place?" I heard a gruff voice ask from just outside my house.

What were the chances that someone had gotten angry over not getting the pull they were after, so they came to seek revenge for that? Or maybe they got irked by how some of the Servants were genderbent? I idly made up all kinds of amusing scenarios while I tried to calm my nerves.

"Yes. We sensed them coming and going from here," Another answered, shattering my fantasies.

Well, now. It seemed that trouble had come knocking on my door. Quite literally at that. I knew that having a connection with Saiborg's peerage could cause me some issues, but I thought it would be further down the line.

I peeked from the window, my eyes easily seeing in the dark. There were six humans from the looks of it. One large guy that towered over the rest while the other five were dressed in robes and looked like typical Magicians. They didn't feel that dangerous, except for the big guy, who exuded a powerful aura to my senses.

A part of me felt nervous, but it was only a tiny part. The rest? The rest of me was filled with excitement. My heart was beating wildly, pumping blood through my body, eagerly looking forward to what was to come next.

Enemies had come, so it was only right for me to welcome them with open arms before slaughtering them all. Though… I suppose I had to make sure they really were enemies. They were, I was almost sure after hearing their conversation, but I still had to check.

"How can I help you, gentlemen?" I asked as I stepped out of the front door, startling the six standing in front of my house.

The five Magicians turned tense and rigid, clearly surprised by my appearance, and dare I say, intimidated by my stature. The big guy only narrowed his eyes as he critically observed me. He was slightly taller than me, with a body brimming with muscles.

Were they from the Agency? I knew that it was an organization based in the US and that their members were for the most part humans. However, they shouldn't be this brazen from what I knew. This wasn't how they dealt with other supernatural beings as they preferred diplomacy since they didn't have that much weight to throw around.

"Hmpf." The big guy snorted and looked towards the Magicians. "Does he have a Sacred Gear?"

"No." One of them shook his head. "His Magic Power is barely above that of a normal human."

"I will give you a chance." Big guy looked back at me, muscles rippling with power. "Survive and prove yourself worthy of recruitment or die."

You know what? This was fine with me. I didn't even need to go out hunting tonight as prey had willingly delivered itself to my doorstep.

"I seem to be at a bit of a disadvantage," I mused as a small part of my Ki was consumed. "How about we even the odds?"

I was in-between them in the blink of an eyes, appearing right next to the Magician that felt the most dangerous. My claws extended, my hand flashed out, and a head went missing.

Before the headless body even dropped, I was already in action, tearing apart another Magician. The other three erupted into panic, scrambling and trying to get away from the big bad monster.

"Pathetic!" The big guy snorted, looking at his companions with disgust. He was the only one that was composed despite me killing two of them in just a few seconds.

He took a step towards me, a dangerous-looking orange aura covering his body. A powerful and fast right hook was sent my way, but I was used to sparring with Saiborg whose punches were much much quicker.

I stepped aside, easily avoiding the attack. My sense of danger screamed at me at that moment, and I realized I had made a mistake as his punch erupted into a mighty explosion.

My Touki flared to life just before I was sent tumbling, protecting me from any damage I might've taken by that explosion.

"This is starting to get interesting." Big guy grinned at me before his eyes narrowed as they focused on my claws, and he spat on the ground once he saw them. "Fucking animal."

This was not the time for words. I simply rushed at him in response. His body tensed as he lowered his center of gravity, prepared to meet my charge. Of course, that was nothing but a faint, and I leapt over him, rushing towards the Magicians that were trying to get away.

"Coward!" He roared as he charged after me.

I was clearly faster, however, and managed to quickly catch up to the three Magicians. They had no time to prepare any of their spells, their eyes widening in fear as I reached them.

"Mer–" I ripped them apart before they could beg for mercy.

An inferno erupted inside me, rage filling my entire being. They came to my house, told me that I would either be recruited or be killed, and they dare ask for mercy? They did not deserve it.

"And then there was one." I turned towards the charging brute.

"Die!" He threw a wild haymaker. There was barely any skill behind his punch, but I guessed he didn't need it. Especially not when he didn't even need to hit his enemies since his attacks could explode.

My body flew back, my Touki protecting me and absorbing all the damage. I landed on my feet, carefully observing my target and trying to figure how to take him down. The explosions were a problem, one I wasn't exactly sure how to deal with.

"I will skin you alive like the animal that you are!" He rushed at me again.

He was stronger than me, from what I could tell, but I was faster. I noted as much as I dodged his attack, jumping away before his explosion could hit me. I couldn't win the fight by just running, though.

The ground below me broke as I pushed off it, flying at him as if had been shot out of a cannon. That caught him by surprise. My Touki enhanced claws flashed out, tearing through his skin with ease. I wanted to tear out his throat, but he wasn't that bad of a fighter and knew how to guard his vitals.

I pushed my Ki inside his body, trying to kill him from the inside. However, I failed as his entire body erupted into an explosion, flinging me away from him.

His explosions weren't limited to his punches. I noted that as a grin spread on my face. 'I got him.'

The brute growled–and he called me an animal?–as he stared at me, blood dripping from the wounds on his chest. "You fil–"

Talking wasn't a free action!

I dashed the second he opened his mouth, planning to take advantage of this. However, I stopped on a dime, right outside his explosion range. Just as I expected, his whole body blew up, and my grin only grew larger.

His eyes were wide open in surprise, giving me an opportunity that I didn't miss out on. With just a single step, I was already in his face, claws cleaving through his body, leaving him a bloody mess.

The brute managed to recover, erupting in yet another explosion that sent me flying. However, my Touki protected me from harm, and any damage that I might've taken as quickly healed up with my Ki.

This was now a battle of endurance between the two of us and that was one thing that I excel at. This fight was mine to win. Well… I won the second I hit him the first time, but that's another thing entirely.

From here on, the fight was just a game of cat and mouse. I would bait his first explosion, jump in to get a few hits, and then promptly get sent flying. He kept roaring and calling me a coward–especially when he realized that he had been poisoned–as I slowly bled him dry.

Of course, that's when things went wrong for me.

A feeling of dread overcame me, my instincts screaming at me to dodge, to jump away before I died. Alas, I was too focused on the prey and was a bit slow in avoiding the danger.

My body came to a halt as I stared at the dangerous spear that was now stuck in the ground in front of me. Slowly, I lowered my eyes, seeing the hole in the middle of my chest.

"Well, that's not good," was what I wanted to say, but only gurgling sounds and a whole bunch of blood came out of my mouth.

Two figures jumped over me, the spear flying towards one of them, right into his hands. They landed next to the brute, who was barely standing on his feet at this point. His body was covered in heavily bleeding grievous wounds. Not to mention all the paralyzing poison that was coursing through his blood.

What a shame. I was this close to killing him. A few more minutes, and he would've died for sure.

"Heracles!" The obvious Magician called out in worry. "We need to get you to a healer."

More gurgling sounds came out of my mouth as I tried to laugh. Seriously? I just released a game based around mythical heroes, and I get attacked by Heracles? What a joke! The world sure had a sense of humor.

They snapped in my direction, seeing that I was still defiantly standing on my feet. The one with the scary spear had a hint of respect in his eyes before he turned towards his other companion.

'Hehe, that little bit of respect won't stop me from stealing your fancy spear.'

"We are done here. Get us out of here, Georg."

A purple fog emerged from this Georg, wrapping around the three of them before teleporting them away. That was a mistake on their part. They really should've finished the job. Oh, well. This worked in my favor. I just had to make sure to pay them back in the future.

My Ki surged into the hole in my chest and started healing the massive wound. I turned around and entered my house before I walked out again. I needed to find where this barrier ended, so I could contact Saiborg and the others.

'I might have to dip in my reserves to heal the hole.' I grumbled in my mind. I really disliked using the Ki in my Seal, even if it was meant to be used for scenarios such as this one.

My steps paused as I looked down at the hole in my chest. This was a wound that should've killed any normal human, but here I was just walking it off...

There really was nothing normal about me anymore, was there?

A/N

I have become addicted to fighting scenes, and I don't know how that happened. I usually hate, well, more like dislike, writing fighting scenes since I have so much trouble with them, but I'm having a surprising amount of fun atm.
