"They're building an environmental monitoring station under the flyover," Simon said.
"They're building a what? That sounds made up. Are we supposed to know what that is?" Nathan asked.
"It's to measure the carbon monoxide from the flyover. When they dig the foundations, they'll find the bodies," Simon said.
=The Community Centre, Main Hall=
"We need to move 'em," Curtis said.
"A couple of questions. "How?" "Where?" "Are you out of your mind?!"" Nathan asked.
"If we leave them, they'll find them," Curtis
"Digging them up and wandering around with them is a low-risk strategy," Nathan said sarcastically.
"You got a better idea? " Curtis asked.
"Yeah, I do have a better idea," Nathan said.
"Why don't you..." Nathan said.
He whistled and gestured. "...and stop us killing the probation worker in the first place?" he continued.
"You show me how it works, and I'll do it." Curtis said.
"We need a car," Simon said.
"Have you got a car?" Nathan said.
Simon shook his head. "No," he said.
"Great! Maybe we should call a cab. Better make it a seven-seater," Nathan retorted.
Nathan looked over at Chris. "Wait. Mr money bags here... I'm sure you've got a care!" He said.
Chris shrugged. "I don't, but I can borrow my parents car. It's an SUV so there should be plenty of room in the boot for the... you know... I can just drive it down here tonight," he said.
Nathan looked very satisfied with himself. "Great. Now we've got that solved we just need to wait until it's dark and dig them back up," he said.
Kelly walked in with her hair down, a baseball cap and aviators on.
"Where've you been?" Alisha asked.
Kelly tried to hide her face. "I had to go doctor's," she said.
'This must be when she lost her hair,' Chris though.
He grimaced when he realised what he had done.
Kelly gaped in surprise looking at him.
"While you were getting your smear test, big shock! We found out the bodies are about to be dug up." Nathan said.
That broke her out of her surprise as she quickly turned to see if he was being serious.
"They're building an environmental monitoring station under the flyover, " Simon added.
"Sounds like bullshit, right?" Nathan asked.
=The Community Centre, Hallway=
Kelly stomped up to Chris blocking his way. She pushed him against the wall her finger pressed into his chest. "Oy, how do you know about me hair?!" She asked.
'Shit!" Chris thought.
"Well? Start talking... or else," she said.
'What do I say? I can't tell the truth can I?' He thought. Controlling your thoughts once someone was talking to you about a particular topic was near impossible.
She frowned. "You better fockin' tell me the truth," she said.
He sighed. "I know the future," he said.
"An' you didn't tell us?!" She shouted.
"Well I only saw one fixed version. Not everything is the same either. Just most things," he said, being careful not to reveal everything.
She paused for a moment. "Is there anything else we should know?" She asked.
"Well right now I can reassure you the hair will come back. It's part of a power belonging to the girl you fought with. It's just temporary though, " he said.
She took a deep sigh in relief and her frown softened. "Good," she mumbled under her breath.
She looked back at him. "How much did you know?" She demanded.
"At first? Everything... however the further we get from the storm the more things are deviating," he said.
She looked at him with suspicion. "Is that why you said it was the new probation worker woman that is leaving the notes?" She asked.
He nodded.
"What else?" She asked.
"I may have nipped some bigger problems in the bud," he said.
"Like what?" She asked.
"Hmm a girl with mind control abilities that would have ended up almost mind controlling us all to be proper upstanding Christian members of our society. You know. No cursing, no drinking and no fucking. The whole deal," he said.
She looked utterly disgusted at the idea. "Is that all?" She asked.
He smirked. "I might know what Nathan's power is," he said.
She smirked. "Oh? What is it?" She asked.
"Surprisingly he can't die. He comes back to life after dying," he said.
Her eyes widened. "Don't tell him. He is annoying enough as is," she said.
She started walking off before turning back around to face him. "You better tell us next time something important is coming," she said.
He sighed. "Well I can't say for sure what will be happening anymore. I think the changes I have been making have caused us to deviate from the original future I saw. The more time passes the less matches and the less reliable it becomes," he said.
=That Night, Outside The Community Centre=
Chris pulled up to the front of the community centre in his parents SUV. The others were already waiting for him. He had already laid a large black plastic tarp down in the boot.
He popped the boot and rolled down the driver-side window. "Ok toss those shovels in the boot and get in," he said.
"So what do we do with them when we dig them up?" Alisha asked.
"We weigh them down and toss them in the lake," Curtis said.
"Then you know what happens next week? The council are like, "Let's drag the lake!" So predictable," Nathan said.
"Yeah, so we bury them somewhere else," Alisha said.
"Enough with the digging and the burying already," Nathan said.
"You come up with something then," Curtis retorted.
"We boil them in a bath of sulfuric acid, serial-killer style," Nathan said.
They all hopped into the car.
"We could store them at the Community Centre till we decide what to do with them," Simon said.
"Oh, great, the Community Centre! Cos they have a special room for storing rotting corpses," Curtis said sarcastically.
"There's a disused storeroom upstairs. I've got a key," Nathan said.
"Why have you got a key?" Kelly asked.
Nathan looked at her awkwardly. "I nicked them because I'm living in the Community Centre, OK? Happy? Big secret revealed. Yeah," he eventually said.
He looked around the car. "This is a sweet ride," he said.
