Can we sleep together again?

"Ki-chan! You sound so tried what's wrong?"

"Sorry… I was working. My part-time job just ended."

"You were working?"

Kimiko's voice sounded really rough. Wouldn't it have been alright to have taken a day off today? Given the condition that she is in wasn't there a chance that she might say or do something really bad. No, I guess that Kimiko isn't really the type of person could just sit by and relax when her mother is working hard.

"Is that really ok?"

"Yeah, I was able to sleep really well last night thanks to you… Mimi, if it's alright can we sleep together again today?"

"Yeah, of course. I'm at my house, you can come over."

When I ended the call, my little sister is still there. Her eyebrows twitching in frustration. I wonder why she's annoyed.

"Don't you know it's rude to answer your phone when you are talking to someone, onee-sama?"

Didn't you do just that to me on Thursday? And even worse you clearly did that on purpose. Well, I guess I did it on purpose too, but only to diffuse the tension. What did this girl even want anyway?

"Isn't it nice to be able to invite your friends over whenever you want, onee-sama?"

If you had made some real friends rather than the gairu group you play with, then you wouldn't have to be ashamed of having a disabled older sister. I couldn't say that though. Especially after what happened with Remi, I realise that kind people like that are hard to come by. This makes me very glad that I have someone like Kimiko in my life.

"Did you invite your friends over today? I did tell you that I wouldn't be home."

"No… They were busy today."

"What, all of them?!"

Reiko tugged at the hem of her skirt while gritting her teeth.

"Idiot, onee-sama."

After shouting that, she raced up the stairs with loud footsteps. I really didn't understand that girl at all. What had I said wrong?

Soon after the phone call, Kimiko arrived. We took turns to take a shower and changed into our pyjamas. Kimiko borrowed mine.

"Thanks for the tea, Mimi."

"It's no problem."

Kimiko and I sipped warm tea in my room.

"So, are you going to tell me what you used the dress for? Was it a date… with Riyuzaki?"

"Yeah, but it didn't really work out. We decided to stay friends."

I guess that is a simplification of our relationship right now.

"Hey, what's wrong? Aren't you going to tell me that he's a loser and that I should forget about him?"

I laughed.

After drinking the tea, Kimiko went over and jumped onto my bed and rolled around in the sheets.

"Mmm, smells like Mimi."

She then bit the pillow.

"Hey, stop biting! I need to study a little now, so brush your teeth and go to sleep. I'll join you in a little bit, okay?"

Kimiko hadn't registered the part brushing her teeth, and feel asleep almost immediately. She must have worked really hard today.
