Arena Eight: The Cost IV
"Open the gate, Matthews."
Jack muttered to me as we approached the gate. The squad members were tense... As the gunshots could have attracted more guards.
I walked towards the gate and quickly shot the lock with my gun. The gate slowly creaked open. The CCTV cameras were already down thanks to the prototype illusion module installed inside the car.
None of the cameras would see anything amiss. They would see the calm front as always.
I pushed the half-open door and entered the academy premises. My first impression of the academy was positive... It felt much like the first academy from the empire.
I used my night vision goggles attached to the mask to check my surroundings. It was clear, just as our intel said.
"All clear."
I said over the channel via the gear. Jack and the rest entered the area with their guns aimed.
"Where's our contact?"
