There was a silence that hung in the air after Claire asked this.

All of us looked at her with different expressions.

The other three looked at her with strange looks as they didn't understand why she was acting this way.

I couldn't help feeling that there was almost a confrontational tone to her voice as she said this.

But why would she do that?

There should be no reason for her to act this way…

Long Shui Ling also seemed like she could hear this, so she hid behind me and peeked out at Claire who just kept glaring at her as she did this.

The silence lasted a long time before I broke it by saying, "Well, we met during the Irregular License Exam and we worked together. I wouldn't say that we're very close, but I can say that we know each other."

I could feel a hand pinching my back when I said this, but I didn't react to it at all.

Right now, it was more important for me to hide my relationship with Long Shui Ling.
