To His Majesty, King James Anson-Capell XIII,
Well wishes and all reverence, I present to you, My King. I write this letter to report the progress of the world exploration expedition led by Captain Krebs von Zettour to find an alternative route to India. It is to my great regret to report that exploration ships "Spirit of Yore" and "Thundersoother" has sunk, and to the extent of my knowledge, the same fate has befallen their crew. In the mercy and grace of the Lord God, I have been saved along with the twins that I brought with me. We have been saved by a ruler in the east who has treated us warmly and with honor and we currently reside in his domain as religious and diplomatic guests. With his permission and assistance, I have opened a new branch of the Church in his capital city of Naka, and if the Royal Court would find it valuable to send more delegates, the local ruler has spoken that he is prepared to construct for us, a diplomatic embassy and mercantile consulate.
As we have already established ourselves in this foreign and newfound land, I regret to inform His Majesty that I cannot continue the expedition to India and would stay in this country until His Majesty has ordered me otherwise. In the meantime, I will be start dialogues with the local sovereign of Kiko to convince him to receive England's future diplomats and cooperate with the Kingdom's interests.
It may be preposterous and uncouth for me, a woman of cloth, to speak of the profession of blood and gold. However, I request His Majesty's utmost understanding in this matter and I beg for pardon in advance as I speak the truth and only the truth regarding this land and its ruler.
Kiko is a land of progress, a land filled with technology far too advanced and complex than any of Europe's technological prowess. Here, the night's darkness is removed from the streets and homes as globes of light encompass the domain, allowing people to work in shifts and continually devote their selves in their crafts. There are almost no signs of poverty in the land, everyone is taught to work and given work to provide for their needs in food, clothing and shelter. There are almost no significant crime bodies here, the land is always patrolled by the "Kiko Land Guards", a policing force that immediately subjugates criminals and law breakers.
Kiko is a land of prosperity and peace. However, I am witness to the force of its military in action and how they become unstoppable to any force thrown to them by the enemy. I cannot speak too much about it as I wish to honor the request of its ruler. But the only thing I can say is that, if such a rich country pours its resources into an army wishing to conquer the world, it only needs the word of its king, His Highness Iwasawa Hiroshi, to do so.
With all respect and honor,
Sister Camilla Dormer
