Natasha cursed Coulson under her breath. She didn't want to interact with Sullivan yet but he had to contact her and ask her to contact him in his stead.
'Didn't he have his phone number? Why doesn't he just contact him directly?'
Natasha didn't have a chance to ask him before he cut the line.
She sighed and looked at the computer screen in daze. She still remembered the time when she heard his demonic voice.
'Cease thy pondering of malevolent. Thy scent of iniquity hath begun to resemble those wicked beings, and I am not fond of them.'
She could tell that it wasn't him but someone else. Or it was him but he wasn't in control of his power.
She felt like her very being was being judged by something that was far beyond what a normal human like her could understand.
She thought about it a little bit. She felt that sooner or later she had to face something like this.
'I can't let myself be shaken by it. I need to be strong in order to survive.'
She was anything but a coward.
If she was a coward she couldn't possibly work as an agent and live to this point.
Natasha after finishing her thought then stood up from the softest sofa she ever experienced.
She looked towards Sullivan and when she saw that he was in a great mood. It was the chance for her to contact him.
She walked to him with her usual smile to cloud what she was really feeling.
She told herself that she could do it and she would do it excellently like she always does.
…
Sullivan had listened to Natasha and didn't pay much attention to Tony who looked at him and Natasha with twinkling eyes.
Tony always teased him about how he didn't understand women even though he already had two girlfriends but now even though he didn't understand them much. He made great progress.
Sullivan thought about what Natasha had told him.
When he heard that there was an unknown object that they suspect to be something beyond mortal comprehension. He couldn't help but be curious.
"That's all of the information I can give you. So do you want to come with me to the site?"
Natasha spoke like she asked him for a date which made Tony smirk at Sullivan and said that was so proud of him.
He acted like he was his father which made Sullivan feel weird but it was not that bad.
He answered her.
"I will go with you. I am also curious about it. An unknown object in the shape of a hammer?"
He felt that it must have something to do with something magical.
Natasha when she got his positive answer couldn't help but feel relief inside.
She didn't know what she would feel if he rejected her.
This was the first time she felt anxious about someone rejecting her.
"Why are you so nervous when talking to me? I didn't think I did something to make you uncomfortable?"
Sullivan's question caught her off guard.
"Huh?"
Natasha heard his question and she couldn't help but be surprised.
She thought that she could control her expression perfectly but why did he know what she felt right now?
"Oh don't worry, It didn't show on your face but I can feel it. You don't need to worry about your performance, Miss Romanoff."
Sullivan answered her with his usual smile. It made her even more nervous!
That meant her performance as a super spy wasn't worth shit in front of him.
"Hey, Don't leave me hanging like that, you two. Can I go with you? I also want to know more about the hammer thing. Maybe I can use it as my equipment."
Tony was Tony. He didn't care much about it and thought that it might be useful as his equipment in his lab.
He thought that Shield technology was not as advanced as his.
He was very confident. If it was his equipment. He must be able to move that thing.
Tony's perception about magic and anything that does not relate to technology had changed when he was invited to the guild by Sullivan.
But he still thought that his technology was the best.
Natasha looked at Tony and she wanted to refuse his offer but Sullivan beat her first.
"Hoh, You must be very confident about your tech. Do you want to compete with me? Who would be the first one to move the hammer? I will bet on my rare collection. How about it?"
Sullivan challenged Tony. He didn't want him to be overconfident about his tech.
Confidence is good but too much is bad. It will make him stuck and couldn't improve further.
Heard what Sullivan said. Tony laughed and said no.
Sullivan was surprised. He didn't think that Tony would refuse his challenge.
"I am not that stupid. You are my guild master and I know who you really are. I will lose a hundred percent. I still want to have my rare collection."
Is Tony actually a reasonable person?!
If Pepper heard what Tony had said. She might be over the moon right now.
Sullivan shrugged if he didn't want to compete then it was his choice.
"Then let's go shall we."
Natasha and Tony already knew that Sullivan could go to any place he wanted on earth so they just nodded.
Natasha didn't have to prepare anything as Coulson must have already prepared everything for her on the site.
As for Tony all he needed to do was think and his armor would react and cover him.
He used the magic metal that Sullivan gave him to create his armor. It was very strong. It could almost absorb any kind of force 100 percent.
And it was easy to forge it with his equipment. Too bad it was only enough to make just one armor.
