CHAPTER THRITY-EIGHT
Oh god. This was awkward. "Uhm… Levi?" I asked, but there was no
reply. Only silence. "S-sorry." I stammered, not sure what else to say. After a few more minutes of silence, Levi finally spoke. "What do you want to use me for?"
Ah. My tongue was in knots. "Uhm… I…" I stuttered.
"What do you want to use me for, Cordelia." Levi repeated, his back to me. Again, the worst possible moment to have a brain freeze. And then it came. The explosion. Levi stayed with his back turned to me, fists clenched. "You won't tell me anything! Who are you? what do you want with me?"
"Uhm. Would you believe me if I said… Nothing? I mean, Im just paying back a favor." I said, avoiding the fact that I was the author and technically just doing what I was supposed to. "Then, do you… remember me?" Levi asked.
"Huh? Remember you from where?" I echoed, and Levi sighed. "Nothing." Wut. Now I was generally curious. But unless Levi told me himself, there was no way I could guess it. "Theres too many secrets." I sighed, finally.
