I saw the gleam of the small knife in his hands raised above my head. Its over. Its all over for me.

I flinched waiting for the sharp, piercing pain to shatter my skull. My eyes closed as tight as they could, my hands anchored to the cement, waiting. Thats when I heard the sound of someone hitting something and grunting. It was too deep to be Emma and besides she's passed out, or... No. I won't think like that. It sounded much more like a male's. Great, someone else is hurt.

I opened my eyes, to see the blinding sun above me. I covered my eyes and sat up. He was no longer a top me, so the grunt came from the AI. I looked around and saw him sitting painfully against a light pole. Next to me, was a pair of dirty worn out Converse. I looked up to see the guy that im asuming saved me.

"You okay?" He offered his hand.

"Yeah..." I replied still shaken up from the events. I took his hand, it was cold and almost shakey. He hoisted me up and I got a chance to look into his emerald green eyes, his raven black hair, and pale skin. Even in all the chaos it felt like time itself had stopped.

He flashed a reassuring smile allowing me to see his glowing white teeth. He turned around to face Emma's trashed car and herself leaning against it, asleep. I glanced to her and felt a wave of guilt. I dont even know what I was guilty for.

A shattering sound of gun shots circled around us. I ducked down hugging my knees to my chest, covering my ears. I screamed in terror. I can't do anything. We are going to die. This man's effort he put into saving me would have been a waste. Emma may or may not be dead. I'm usless, lying back on the ground clutching my knees. Why is this happening? Why? Who did this?

I felt soft cold hands pick me up bridal style, I wrapped my arms around his neck seeking comfort. I opened my eyes to see him, he saved me once already. Why is he saving me again? But Emma, what about her? Who will save her? "Wait, what about Emma?" He gave me a puzzled look. "Emma..." My shoulders drooped. "She'll be fine." His voice was calm and collected. But she won't be fine. She can't even get up.

I felt weak, I no longer had the strength to clutch to him. I no longer have the strength to keep my eyes open.

My head was pounding, my nose burned, my ears felt like something was stuck inside them.

I felt something tightly wrap around my thigh, a bandage. Thats right I cut myself trying to get out of the car. I tried sitting up but the pain from my headache intensified. I grunted, it hurts.

I smelled something sweet, almost like vanilla. I looked around to the best of my ability, a candle was lit. There was another bed next to me. Someone layed there motionless, her soft slow breathing filled the silent room. Emma.

A thudding sound seemed to come from the hallway. Someone was coming. I stood up ignoring my headache to the best of my ability. The door creaked open revealing a man in a white robe. His hair was chocolate brown with a slight tan. It wasn't him, the guy that saved me last night.

"Finally, up I see." His voice was quiet, almost like he was emphasizing the condition I was in. He leaned against the doorway, "You should lay down, your still not in the best condition."

I stared at him for a moment, "Where am I?" My voice was barely there. "We'll answer questions later. Tomorrow maybe." There was a hint of mysteriousness in his voice. We'll? Someone else is here then.

He stood back up and started moving away. "Wait." I called out. He stopped but never looked back. I hesitated, "Whats your name?" He turned around and flashed a smirk, "Tomorrow." He hushed. I can't wait that long. I dont even know what time it is.

I looked around the room finally noticing how luxurious and spacious it was in here. It was easily much larger than my living room. It might even be larger than Emma's room. I looked back at the door, he left it open.

I tried getting up to close it, or at least explore the room a little. As I stood up I felt a sensation simular to vertigo. I quickly sat back down to get back to my senses. I stood back up, thankfully without the vertigo. I looked around, forget the open door the window. A large white rimmed window. I struggled walking toward it. Once I reached it I leaned against the small ledge for support. Outside was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. This place must be outside the city. Trees as far as the eye could see, like the Emerald Forest.

"Stubborn are we?" A calm voice simular to that of the man that saved me spoke.

I swiftly turned around startled by his appearance. "Its you." I said dazed. The one that saved me.

"You remembered."He smirked, his voice slightly flirtatious.

"How could I not?"

"You really should be resting though." He walked towards me until he was soon leaning against me.

"What- what are you..."

"Shhhh." He hushed me before I could finish. He looked me in the eye and raised my chin. I could feel his warm breath on my cheek. "You know..." He whispered in my ear sending chills down my spine. "You really should get some rest." He pulled away and shut the door.

I fell to my knees and let go of the breath I didnt know I was holding in. What was that about? I sighed and collapsed on the soft bed. I was more tired than I thought I was. I glanced at Emma. She was still cold and motionless. Unmoving front the spot she was in earlier. I felt my eyes slowly start to close.

Tomorrow, I thought. Tomorrow I will know everything I need to know.

I woke up excited and feeling much better. It was finally the day I would get what I wanted to hear. I shot out of the bed. My headache was gone but I still had the bandage on my thigh. I didnt think the cut was that bad.

I paused before opening the door and glanced at Emma. She was still asleep in the same spot she was in yesterday. I sighed and closed the door behind me.

I wandered around for a moment. this place was so large. I could easily get lost in here. I finally found the kitchen where the guy that saved me was.

He noticed my presence and acknowledged it. It walked towards me almost worried. "You're okay right?"

"Oh course, why wouldn't I be?" I asked puzzled. if anything, what happened two days ago was traumatizing but I'm fine now despite the large cut running down my thigh.

"Well you lost a lot of blood that day." His voice was soft and emphasizing. I didnt think he would worry that much.

"Anyway, I know you probably have a lot of questions and we will answer them. Starting off, my name is Jax, you?" He seemed to avoid talking about my injurys like it hurt him. I can understand it being an awkward subject.

"Amira." I introduced myself. There really wasn't much to say.

"Pretty." He smirked. I dont think my name is that pretty but I accept it.

He walked over to the dining table pulling open a chair, jestering me to take a seat. "I'll get my brother and we'll start. In the meantime, stay here." I watched him leave the kitchen head down the hallway I came out of. Brother. Was it the guy with brown hair?

I heard laughing come from the other room, what could be so funny at this time? "This is Damen." Jax said chuckling.

Damen pulled a seat infront of me, Jax sat next to Damen. I kind of wish Jax sat by me. "So where do we start?" Jax and Damen stared at me expectantly.

"Uh I guess, where are we?"

"You my dear, are residing in our home. And you were staring out the window, based on what Jax told me. We are in a mansion on the edge of a cliff." Damen explained.

"Thats one way to put it." Jax chuckled. "Now before you ask questions about what happened two days ago, if you didn't get the alert, it said machine meltdown. Meaning, a large virus was planted in the main overdrive of what programs all our AI's and cars if you have the newest model. No one knows who did it but everything programed to the main overdrive went hangwire. Basically, everything will be in total chaos until the virus is fixed so we will have to go old-school with the technology we used to have." Jax seemed well knoledged on the subject. It made me almost suspicious.

"And how do you know so much?"

Damen explained, "Our parents are engineering manager. They get all information on how things are programmed since they create what is being programmed."

"Yet, you're still unaware who planted the virus?" I questioned expectantly.

"Well it could be anyone really. Someone off the streets could have done it but I highly doubt it, security on our programs are pretty intense. So our best bet is its someone from the company." Jax does have a point but why would someone even do something like this? Its pointless, all they are doing is harming innocent people which really won't get you anywhere.

"You can keep talking Jax, I'll be on the computer."

"Aight keep doing what you were doing." Jax waved.

"Whats that about. If you dont mind me asking."

Jax shrugged, "I dont mind. Damen is just backing up files and create a new virus protection software. Since who ever planted the virus managed to hack into the main database, we are protecting our files. Our parents are pretty important in the company so chances of our culprit finding out about them, leading to us, are high. So we could get targeted." Jax stood up heading towards the kitchen.

I didnt know what to say, there were no words that could continue this conversation. "So we're allies?"

He turned around flashing a flirtatious smirk, "Exactly." His eyes sparkled.
