A Day With You

I layed on the floor with my feet up on the bed. This is the fifth time I changed my position. First, I layed on my stomach on the bed. I dont know how people breathe in that position. Then, I layed my legs straight up against the wall which hurt for some reason. Maybe I'm just not as flexible as I thought I was. Another two positions later and I'm laying on the floor.

I let out an exaggerated sigh. I'm so bored. I would ask Jax or Damen if I can help with anything or if there is anything interesting to do around here but I'm scared to ask them. The last thing I want is to bother them. "Emma why cant you just wake up?" I groaned.

"Come on you can't be that bored." Damen crossed his arms. "Yes I can." I groaned. He sighed and let his arms fall to his side. "Well is there anything you like doing?" He rubbed his neck uncomfortably. I thought for a moment before answering his question. "Drawing." I let out turning my head toward him. His eyes seemed to light up, "Come here." He motioned me telling him to follow him.

I got up and followed him through the hallway until he brought me to a room with three large computers and a few sketchpads and notebooks. On a shelf was two full rows of what im thinking is video games. On the last few rows were books. I even saw a few of my favorites on the shelf. The desk on the opposite side of the room had a small shelf of notebooks, markers, and every art supply I could think of.

"I doubt you'll get bored in this room." Damen said as he sat on the black rolling chair infront of the computers. I stared at everything in awe I just wanted to curl up on one of the bean bags and read all the books and draw as far as my imagination could take me. "I can do what ever I like?" I asked skeptically. "Well yeah, as long as it doesn't kill us." He giggled.

I headed straight to the sketch books and flipped through an empty one. I couldn't wait to get started. I searched through all the different types of pencils and markers until I found the right one. Of course there were so many to choose from, shading pencils, colored pencils, but I decided I would go with the normal #2 pencil. I was used to it and it was almost the only art supply I had.

I started drawing the silhouette of a girl standing on a cliff. Her hair dancing in the wind. I started drawing a blue to purple ombre sky and colored the cliff, the girl, and every other detail black. It was so pretty and its been awile since I've drawn something this nice.

"Wow you're good." Damen said eyes wide with awe. "Thanks!" I smiled. "I've been drawing with my free time every chance I got." I said proudly. Damen stared at it for a moment taking it in. "So would you like to play a game with me?" Damen asked looked at his computer and headset. "What game?" I asked skeptically yet intrigued. He smirked and rolled the chair I was sitting in next to his. Then, he looked through his drawers to find another controller. He threw it to me. Thankfully I caught it, I'm not the best at catch.

"Have you played any video games before?" Damen asked. It seemed like depending on my answer he would be determining my skill level. "Yes I've played a few. As a mage though, I'm not the best at close range." I said sheepishly. Damen smirked, "No problem, I can handle that. Just be my support okay?" He raised an eyebrow. He looked confident like we could actually defeat something with me helping as a mage. "Okay!" I said confidently.

He guided me threw a large dungeon that seemed to go on forever. Based on the story or where I started anyway, we're looking for a crystal impeded in a dragons chest. The reason is unknown but it seemed important. Damen was a duel wielder and I was the mage. I had support skills so I could heal him at anytime needed. Damen was absolutely amazing at this.

"Alright here we go!" Damen exclaimed. "Wait what!?" I panicked what was was happening? At that moment the game broke into story mode. It showed our two characters side by side in a dark room at the end of the dungeon looked around cautiously. The dragon, its here I thought.

A roar in the distance seemed to be set off and only seconds later the roof above us was shattered letting the moonlight gleam in. The dragon, a black dragon with opal imbeded on its vital points glowed in the moonlight. This is it.

We raised our weapons. I ran toward a piece of debris that was highly elevated. I floated to the top of it and buffed Damen's attack and defense as he rushed toward the dragon. I could hear his blades clanging against the dragon's glowing scales. I backed him up sending lightening strikes from above hitting the dragon, but this thing wasn't going down without a fight. I healed every wound Damen got as soon as I could at the same time backing him up as an attacker.

Until finally, I created a a large ice spear and threw it at the dragon. It pierced through its defenses and straight threw its heart. The roared falling to the ground. The Ground beneath us shook under the impact.

Back to reality, Damen jumped up off his seat, "Yes! We did it!" He exclaimed proud and passionately. I giggled, "Yes, yes we did." I was satisfied. I never played games that were that intense but I enjoyed it.

"Amazing, you're good at this too! Will you play with me again sometime?" He smiled widely. How could I say no to that? It looked like I was seeing his inner child instead of the normally calm and quiet person that always seemed to randomly show up at my room.

"Of course, that was so fun!" We laughed.

"Well, well, well what did I miss?" Jax watched us confused but happy that we were getting along. "Amira just helped me beat the boss I couldn't defeat." Damen flashed an ear to ear smile. "Good. You won't be smashing headsets again." Jax said with sarcasm in his voice. Damen gave him a glare and the two brothers playfully fought with each other.

They seemed to act like children, Jax teased and messed with Damen. And Damen fought back determined to win a fight. I started laughing I couldn't help it. "Huh, why are you laughing?" Damen asked embarrassed. I couldn't respond I just kept trying to keep my laughter under control. "I'm just happy. Happy that I got to see a new side to you guys today." The two of them faced their backs to each other embarrassed. "Yeah well..." Jax rubbed his neck.

I smiled, I feel like I learned something new about them today. I'm happy I got to see this side to them.

"Okay, okay thats enough." Jax still had a pink tint on his cheeks. "I made dinner so come to the dining room."

We sat down on the comfortable chairs I couldn't help but stare out the window. I was at the far end of the table the boys sat at either side of me. I had an endless amount of devices at the palm of my hand now that im living with these two but sometimes you just want to look outside an enjoy nature. Well, at least I do.

Jax seemed to noticed as he stood up and closed the curtains, darkening the room. "What, no." I whined. "I'm sorry but we have to. It's for our safety, that includes you." Jax had a look in his eyes that almost looked upset. As much as I wanted to fight back I couldn't. "Alright fine..." I rolled my eyes. Why did things have to be like this? Couldn't everything go back to normal? I just want to find out who created this virus and how to fix it. That way we can get this over with as soon as possible

We ate dinner in silence. I can't beleive that we were just in the other room cheerful and enjoying ourselves only a few minutes ago.

As we ate in silence a loud thud came from my room. They both shot up out of there seats to check on what was going on. No, please not another attack. I rushed after them to find that they stopped just at the doorway with shocked expression plastered on their face. No, it can't be...

I shoved them aside and felt a huge wave of emotions rush through me. "Emma!" I ran toward her and hugged her. We were both sitting on the floor. I'm asuming the thud we heard was Emma when she tried getting up.

"I'm so glad you're okay!" I tightened my grip around her. "Okay, okay calm down." Emma pulled away and smiled. We stared each other in the eye before we burst out laughing. Both Jax and Damen looked so confused it was almost funny. "Well I'm glad you're okay. Emma, right?" Jax stared at her sympathetically. Emma gave me a smirk as if I was up to no good while she slept for a few days. "Yes! And you are?"

Damen approached us and helped us up off the floor. "I'm Damen, its nice to meet you." He was more polite than usual. "And I'm Jax, the older brother." Jax smiled.

"Ah brothers I see..." Emma looked back at me, jealousy radiating from her. I mouthed, sorry and gave an unsure smile at her. I'll have to explain all of this later.

"Well you must be hungry. We already ate but we can get you a plate set up." Damen offered."Okay thanks!" Emma grabbed my wrist and dragged me along as we followed the boys back to the dining room. "This place is amazing! Its so big!" Emma let go of my hand a twirled around. Jax put his hand son her shoulders behind her, "Glad you like it but you really should take it easy."

"Jax is right, Emma. You just woke up."

"Ugh, fine." She pouted.

We spent the rest of the evening eating dinner and filling her in on the whole situation. She was oddly quiet about the whole situation but I didnt pay much attention to it. "So we're going to be living together for the time being?" Emma asked excitedly. "Yeah basically. Once everything gets settled back to normal you guys can go back to your homes." Jax reassured us. But I could have sworn I heard him mumble if. If it goes back to normal he meant.
