Dante didn't know much about this world for now. And this has to change because he had to make plans for the future and this couldn't be done without knowing what this world was for real.

Being in the dark about the hidden goings of the world was not favorable in the position that he was in now.

Dante needed a sure way to succeed in his ultimate goal which was to be free and have a good and easy life with no disturbances.

Patiently taking one step at a time was essential at the beginning stages.

"So pearl, tell me what this world is, and am I in the same universe that I was originally from?" Dante asked plainly.

-This Universe is different from where you originally were from, also you were brought here by 'the One', to bring peace and end any progress of great evil that might harm the world in the future.- Pearl explained.

" So the name you call that Angel is by 'the one', is he the ruler of this universe?"

-Think of him as a guardian of the universe, who is strong enough to destroy the universe but at the same time cannot interact with the goings of this world.-

Pearl stopped and looked at me seriously and said. -You should not call the one by name because he will hear everything you say, it is better to talk in riddles when you need to talk about anything regarding the Ruler of this universe.-

-You also don't need to worry about him interfering in anything that you are going to accomplish from now on because he can't interfere in the matters of the mortals. So basically he can only indirectly help someone, just like he helped you in getting me a soul fragment.-

"So pearl you were part of him and now you belong as an independent being or are you still in control of the one?" Dante asked in a questioning tone.

-No as I said, the ruler can't help directly, so he made a choice, to break a part of his being and give it consciousness which is my ' pearl'. I am independent and not related to the ruler. The ruler has no authority over me and you dont have to worry about being backstabbed by me or the ruler because for the simple reason that we can't obtain anything for betraying you.-

Dante was skeptical about the words of Pearl because he never trusted people at face value and he knew that something must be hidden in those words of her.

He was thinking things with an open mind to not miss important information that might be useful later when a situation comes.

-The ruler or the one has ultimate strength that he obtained directly from the one and only God and therefore he is strongest but also the most shackled being in the universe. The One cannot directly change anything and when crises appear, the best thing to do is reset the universe.-

Dante was shocked by the last words of pearl and it means reset is not a good thing and might be the end of the apocalypse-themed setting.

"Don't tell me to reset means to kill everyone and start the universe again because that would be hilarious and despairing on epic proportions" Dante said smirking madly.

Pearl's face became as serious as it never was and she exclaimed.

-Yes, the end of everything and the beginning of the new world.-

Dante fell to the ground because he knew now where the direction of the conversation was going.

"You mean if I don't succeed in this mission then the whole universe will be done for?"

-Yes, this world is related to the main problem that may arise due to the chain reaction that the true enemy will cause here.-

"The one can not kill that enemy by himself and save the world from doom or the whole universe from resting? What is the use of such power if you can't use it to save the space you are supposed to protect."

-As I said THE ONE cannot participate in world affairs because of the limits of reality which will be disturbed if beings like him interfered with mortals and minute things.-

"So basically what it means is that either we complete the main mission or the whole universe will be done for? Do I even have a choice to refuse anything now that you explained this reality of the world!!!"

-Yes, the mission is hard and might not be possible to be achievable unless you give it your all. I will explain everything from the start about how and why the world became such a dangerous place from now on. In the end, I will also notify you of the main missions you have in this reality in which you currently exist at.-

Pearl then stopped and looked at me with a meaningful look.

-No matter what happens, at the end of this journey you will gain more than you ever wanted. So just focus on your goals and look forward to your dreams. Do not let anything stop you from accomplishing the world you desire. This is not negotiable and you must accept things as they are. I promise you that you will achieve the peace you so desired in the end.-

Dante was not shocked or anything because not much was there to lose anymore.

The world would die if he didn't produce results.

The world will perish with his dreams and hopes of everyone he saw laughing in this new reality of his.

He had to win. No, he will win and get everything he desired.

He will protect things he wants and destroy enemies who stand in his way.

"All right tell me the truth from the beginning where it all started."

And pearl started the long and ancient story which was full of betrayal, undying love, and hope.
