Chapter 29 (Monster among demons)

[What did you do to all my comrades] said the man ... who was one of the 7 soldiers.

[Ha ha ha you are still asking this question ... what are you ... an idiot or something ... of course, they are dead ... and I even brought gifts for you] said Jason while throwing six heads in front of the man.

[tell me to do you like it... they are the faces of your comrades.. the men who worked under your order to kill anyone who came in way of that fat ass.... the one who is responsible for killing 'him".] said Jason while walking forward.

One of the faces landed in front of the man and it was the face of the man who he was talking to a moment ago. seeing these bizarre scenes the man has excepted that his death was imminent... he had killed a lot of people in his life ... some to reach his position that he had now and many to secure the position of Army leader ... he knew the reaper has knocked on his door today. In course of doing this job not only he killed people but also, he had killed his pride, passion, humanity for this job and all that was left was only a human husk that was no more than a puppet, a slaughter machine, and an easily replaceable tool.

[Yes it is truly ironic... my power level is around at the same level as the heads lying on the ground... you are much more powerful .. and now that I look at my situation it seems It was not us who had traped you but you were the one who baited u out... ha how ironic a hunter awaiting to be hunted by his prey ... pathetic truly pathetic] the man had a calm look on his face, among all these years of experience the one thing he gained was to access the situation and this situation spelled his doom in every probability. Thus he threw away the flame swords he had materialized and stood waiting to be freed from this cruel world.

[Oh I see ... now that you know what is gonna happen you simply don't resist ... it is a very bad idea... but I am a benevolent bird I would like to offer you one last wish ... go on you can ask me anything except your life.] said Jason with a wide grin on his face.

[ I didn't expect such benevolence from you neither did I expected you to be this strong ... well I can only blame my luck to be here... so last wish... I never really thought about it till now... I never expected it to come too soon... but as I am now I have no dreams left neither any unfinished tasks so I would like to ask a simple question as a last wish.] said the man before slumping down the ground.

[Oh just a question ... well go ahead and ask your last question.]said, Jason.

[How did you do that... how did you kill every member in such a short time?] asked the man.

suddenly there was a flash of light and from the shadow of the man. From the man's shadow, there appeared a majestic phoenix. It had a glory of a ruler and aura of Conquerer. It had crimson feathers and a pair of bright white shining eyes.

[beautiful... ] said the man before getting sliced by the talons of phoenix.

[I hope you got the answers you were looking for] said Jason and ordered the phoenix to burn all dead bodies into ash.

clashes of metal and flesh could be heard from a distance, somewhere in a burning field stood a fat man who had a sword in his hand that was covered in pitch-black flames, whenever he swung his sword waves of black flame would manifest forward slaying the Fire-lings and lesser fire demons in his path.

[That young demon is just around somewhere here, and according to information the Gate is just behind him ... with this, I can easily open the gate and get that and after that, no one would be able to stop me. ] said the fat man that was none other than Army Leader, Hadone.

Suddenly there was a glass-shattering sound from inside the court pocket of jacket-like armor that Hadone was wearing.

[what happened all the watch eyes that I placed didn't show any reaction ... ] saying so Hadon quickly pulled a shiny black glass-like rock out of his pocket, this was an Identity talisman which is used to track the whereabouts of a person, it brakes only when the person whose name is etched on it is in grave danger or already dead and in this case Hudon believed the latter.

Hudon's face went pale from fright and he began to scan all the area around him, seeing that there were large hordes of fire-lings and lesser demons around him he quickly took out a strange shape device from his other pocket, and after clicking few buttons on it he set the device on the ground.

As soon as the device touched the ground, soil erupted from the ground swallowed Hudon whole, and after the dust was settled, Hudon was gone and no device was there in the ground.

Inside a gloomy and dark cave sat Hudon while fiddling with a flat screen.

[Ha now I am safe in this ground hideout... damn how did that Jason kill them all, and that also when he didn't move an inch after falling on the ground and yet all the soldiers guarding and maintaining the barrier were killed one by one ... how is this possible ... yes he must have external Aid, how can I be stupid enough to think that the son of that cunning lizard would let the next in line of succession roam on his own. tch... there is no harm still done ... I would just wait for night to fall and act as if nothing happened and appear in front of everyone then even the man behind Jason would think twice before attacking me and if he attacks I would have evidence and defense of many meatshields... yes yes this would be perfect... I would provoke Jason in front of everyone myself and just kill him in self-defense... ha ha ha ... no one could stop me to fulfill my dream ... ha ha ha ...] Hudon was thinking and laughing out loud, but suddenly on Hudon's shoulder there appeared a hand causing Hudon to shriek in fear.

[Who is there...] asked Hudon while staring towards the bright red eyes that seem to be floating in shadow.

[oh poor Hudon... you messed with a wrong guy] a voice came from all around the cave.

the eyes started moving forward, seeing this Hudon summoned a fire scythe in one hand and bright glowing orb in another hand. The orb illuminated the man with ripped clothes through which one could see his well-defined muscles and lots of battle scars. His face was covered in a Smiling Clown mask with a drop of Blod falling from his right eye.

[What are you]asked Hudon while taking steps back to increase the distance between the clown masked man and him.

[oh you fat ass... you still do not get it ... I am Monster among Demon ... I am ...
