Chapter 23 (MANA SYSTEM)

It was a beautiful morning and the sky was shining Blue, winds blew at a decent pace and the air was filled with a married smell. With the low humming sound of mother, I woke up to see her beautiful face.

[Good rise my sweet Alan, are you hungry, come to mommy, she will feed you lots and lots until you cant walk] said mother with a beautiful and funny tone.

Well if this sentence was said to be a season(*) before I would surely believe that this was a threat, but now I know it's just a cute way to say "let me feed you fully", or that is what I think it is.

she gently picked me up and placed me on her lap while slowly pulling me closer to her while I can feed on her milk. Firstly I was pretty embraced at all that she did, but now drinking milk and pooping and peeing anytime and anywhere I want has become a habit, and since I have zero control over myself I can just watch them carry me like a toy wherever they want.

But still, my favorite place to poop or pee would be whenever Bum smacking devil or papa picks me up. there was this one time that he lifted me up in his arm and then I correctly aimed at his face and et the water cannon loose, oh that was hilarious, the mother sometimes also teases papa for that till now.

After some time when I drank my fill and burped as an indication of my filled stomach, mother stood up with me in her arms and walked out of the house to our little back garden where 4 students could be seen sitting in a lotus pose meditating silently in their chosen spots.

As I look around I see, It is now the season of fall, all the trees are now dried up and slowly leaves are falling, gently gliding down only to fall at last. season of fall clearly indicates the way of life, a gentle floating leaf in the stream of life struggles to stay afloat into the sky but in the end it only fate is to fall down.

Turning my head towards this clear sky I could see clouds floating gently across the sky, and I could only faintly remember the sky beyond this sky, the sky that once belonged to me, but now is only a distinct memory, a memory of past that I left behind a memory that I never wanna remember never wanna forget. I left that memory deep in my heart like a bubble frozen in time.

[Good rise students] mother said releasing a gust of wind towards all. And waking me up from gloomy thoughts.

feeling the gust all the students slowly woke up one by one and stood up in a line.

[I hope everyone is doing fine, and congratulations to Flora and Lora for completion of our 3rd and 2nd ring respectively,] said my mother. and soon she started her daily lecture about a new topic.

These lectures are the main source of my entertainment and to show that I try to never cry during the whole lecture led to me listening to her all lectures.

these lectures provided me with lots of basic knowledge that every human is taught.

and the most significant and interesting knowledge I gained is about <HUMANS MANA SYSTEM>.

This mana system comprising of gathering the world's mana inside the core to strengthen the core and increasing the amount of mana one can wield, which is equivalent to mana stored inside your core.

But unlike other races humans do not have a Natural mana core, so they took the basic framework of ELVES and DWARF mana system and modified it in such a way that humans are now able to form their own Mana cores.

It is truly fascinating to see one trying so desperately to free from the shackles that bind them down from their birth with the help of their wisdom. And finally, after many failures and lots of sacrifices the great minds of the human race created their whole brand new System.

The <mana system> they follow is as follows:-

1st is <CORE STAGE> where one gathers their mana into a sphere-like structure.

2nd is <RING STAGE> where they form rings around the mana sphere, and this is divided into 5 parts, which signifies the formation of 5 rings around the sphere denoted by the Ist ring stage to the 5th ring stage.

These 1st and 2nd stages are used to form a fake core that acts as our mana center. And until these two stages, we are worst than an Elf child.

As we are able to directly wield the elements we could only wield certain attributes of these elements, and these attributes are the reason that there is a small quantitative change in mana from core stage to Ring stage also called attribute ring stage.

As in the core stage, one could only wield neutral mana that is manifested in form of Bluish or near-transparent hue but after adding attribute to neutral mana we can manifest a certain degree of the power of that element which is indicated by a change in color of mana from transparent to red, green, white, brown, etc...

This was a major difference that shocked me, So first to control any element we simulate mana with attributes related to that element and form rings of that attribute

that is <Toughness/strenth> for Earth-related elements.

<Agility/speed> for wind related elements

<flexibility/calmness>for water-related elements.

<Heat/warmth> for fire elated elements.

and the next stage is the main step that takes us on equal footing as other races and that is

3rd stage<Fusion Stage> I don't know much about it but it is the stage where we form our own Mana core by fusing the rings inside our core, thus the name,

As all the students are still far away from it mother hasn't explained anything related to this stage.

But our curse of not having any natural core came as a blessing in disguise as when we make our own core after the fusion stage we receive a unique core that is unique due to awakening that happens during the formation of core. That is also unique only to the human race and mother said that this was the way that nature gives us gifts for our hard work.

And this gives every human some unique aspect about their own element. And some humans even get element variants and sometimes special traits. Thus with the formation of mana core, a human is called <Aprentice Mage> and that is the basic requirement to join MAGIC TOWERS. the second most exciting thing I came to know.

A/N:- in this word there is a different measurement of time

a tick = 2hrs

12 ticks = A Ray (a day)

A season= 3 months that is roughly equal to 90 rays

A change= 4 seasons (ie HEAT, FALL, COLD, RAIN) = A year.
