Roderick, whose curiosity was high, was able to temper his emotions. He walked with a sigh, relaxing his face. He sat on the sofa not far from Jack.
"Now, tell me, dad!" Roderick demanded. He sharpened all his senses to listen to his father's explanation.
Jack chuckled, lifting one of his left legs, then placing it over his right knee. He reached for the cigars in his coat pocket, then took one and lit it. Jack seemed to enjoy the cigar so much, on the third puff he looked up at Roderick.
"I just found out that San works under your orders too. I met him yesterday, when I saw his face I remembered Nancy. I found out about your villa from him."
"San is a pretty stubborn kid, I almost tortured him into opening his mouth," Jack explained. Then he took a deep puff on his cigar, then exhaled the smoke while glancing at Roderick's quite unreceptive reaction.
