Midnight Rose (ONE SHOT)

One time after school I was just hanging out with my friend. Her name was Emily, a dainty youthful woman with black wavy hair. It was a beautiful day. Even though it was February. It was about 60 degrees with bright blue skies and a breeze capable of making just about anyone's day go better. While we were hanging out, one of her friends came up to us and talked to the both of us, I don't remember where but I've seen her somewhere and to me; she was gorgeous. After talking for a while, I was finding myself engaged in the conversation.

This was the first time in a while I've been genuinely engaged in talking to someone in a while. When it was time for me to go home for the day, I asked her if she had a number I could get. The response I got made me feel sick to my gut.

Me - Hi I'm James, it was wonderful meeting you, do you think we could exchange numbers?

Emilia: I'm Emilia. It was good meeting you. Give me your phone, I'll type my number in.

When I had heard that I immediately realized who she was, she ended up being my ex-girlfriend's younger sister. Even though I was shocked and felt kind of guilty, it was the weekend, so in my attempt to escape that; I went home and tried to emerge myself in a decently new, free to play MMO-RPG that just came out a few months ago, I thought that may end the feeling of guilt I had. That's what I thought I would do, but little did I know I was making a mistake that would cause a total nightmare of events to occur.

When I arrived home, I logged on to my computer and led myself to the website to download the game. The device I used to play was a virtual reality system that took the nerves in your brain and sent them to the headset you'd have to put on, instead of sending them to the body. It would get games from attaching the headset to your computer and downloading them. The game I craved to start, called Midnight Rose, was a game that concentrates on not just the regular dungeon clearing, but heavily on open-world survival. after the download finished I put the headset on and began playing. They depend the character builds on weapons and armor weight so I started with dual-wielding swords and light armor. When I got into the world, it was the most realistic game I have ever played; the sky was the most beautiful blue I have ever encountered, and the puffy clouds looked so refined it made me want to use all my time sightseeing instead of doing questing. After hours of playing the game and doing non-stop monster clearing, I reached level 13 and decided I needed a break from the game. when I went to log off; I looked at my surroundings one last time and swiped my hand downwards to open the game's menu. When I opened the menu I sat there for a few minutes looking at extra gear and weapons. When I finally quit playing around and tried to stop playing the game for a bit, I got worried while I was searching through the menu. No matter where I looked, I just couldn't discover where the log out button was...
