The Garden Party Dilemma
Duke Caius was descending the grand staircase toward the foyer when he caught sight of a commotion unfolding there. He glanced at Vincent, who was following behind, but his aide could only shrug, just as perplexed.
Without wasting any time, Duke Caius quickened his pace and approached the center of the commotion, where Isabella appeared to be the focal point. He inquired, "What's happening?"
Isabella sighed in exasperation and responded, "Perfect timing, Your daughter has disappeared."
"Apologized, Your Grace. We've searched everywhere, but we can't find her," Charles admitted with a deep bow, his concern evident.
Duke Caius raised an eyebrow, his plans for the day disrupted. Today was supposed to be the day of the garden party that Mabel and Isabella were to attend.
This was uncharacteristic behavior for his daughter, who had never acted this way since her arrival at Ashford Manor.
