"I'm not impressed." He said and Kalina guessed the laughter in his words. "Still." She returned, trying to match his amusement and completely failing. That man had a knack for annoying her, that was for sure. ¿Why? Kalina didn't know for sure. She felt a little stupid about the discovery, but there was something else. Something attracted her to him, that was undeniable.
The Same
It was already past noon when Kalina finished supervising the final preparations for the expedition. Her group had been drastically reduced to four travelers, not counting the coachman. So, on the bright side, they would travel lighter from now on.
The supplies had been organized into four large saddlebags that had been stored in the trunk of a light transport car. Princess Zintia and Lala would travel in a fast-covered hansom. Her Majesty had agreed to take a lighter car in exchange for a heavy carriage that would have slowed down the pace of the expedition. Kalina and Valian would ride alongside her. Each one would carry two fresh horses.
Kal was finishing saddling her steed when she saw Zintia coming down the stairs followed closely by the cute Lala. Both had changed their clothes for female riding outfits. The ladies wore dark tights and skirts open in the front.
Kal approached and then bowed slightly.
