Chapter 1

I looked down at my laptop screen. I'm watching a kdrama but I'm sleepy. I sat up when my phone rang. I picked it up and looked to see who was calling. I was devastated when I saw that it was Paula. I just let my phone ring. I know what she wants. She will definitely ask for answers to our homework again.

I worked on it and then she just copied it? Duh, I'm kind but not very kind.

I turned off my laptop and took out my phone. I lay on my bed and saw that Paula had a chat with me, I didn't open it.

I got up when Mother Resi called me. I call her mom because she has taken care of me since childhood.

"Krista? Come downstairs, your Mommy is calling you." Mother Resi said.

"Okay, I'm going down."

I just left my phone on the bed and went out of my room. I went straight to the Dinning Area and saw Mommy talking while eating. I sat opposite Mommy.

While I was putting food on my plate, Mommy was talking to me. Daddy was just eating while watching us.

"Sweetie, I have something to tell you."

"What is it, Mommy?" I asked and looked at her.

"Remember, Aunt Lernia?" Nod in response to Mommy's question.

"You know our business in order for it to grow we need their help. So, we decided that you and their only son—" I didn't let Mommy finish.

"You reconciled us? Mommy! We're still young. As far as I know, he's only one year older than me!"

We heard Daddy put down the cutlery. That made a loud sound. He stood up and seemed to be holding back his anger. I'm nervous, I don't want them to be angry with me.

"Talk to your daughter properly, Hon. I'll go first." I bowed when he looked at me and then left.

Mommy told me she would wait for me in the living room. They left me alone here. I only ate a little and went to Mommy.

"Mommy," I said first as I sat next to her.

"Tomorrow they will come here for that. Just think about our business, Sweetie. You don't want us to be angry with you, do you?"

I shook my head. "Alright. This is just a purely business."

Mommy stroked my hair. "Yes, sweetie. Thank you, I will give you what you want. Just tell me." Mommy said with a smile.

After our conversation, I entered my room again. I fell down and looked at the ceiling.

I don't want my parents to be angry with me. I don't even want to disappoint them. But is it right that I agree? I know who Chandler is, Aunt Lernia only son.

That night I was thinking a lot. Why do I have to do this? Is Mommy still not satisfied with what we have? I had so many questions in my mind until I didn't realize that I fell asleep.

---

I was just walking down our hallway when Paula immediately greeted me.

"Why didn't you answer my call last night?!" She shouted at me.

"I fell asleep." I was about to pass her when she grabbed my backpack and pulled me back to my spot.

"You're so selfish! If I didn't know your parents, I would have fought you a while ago. You're annoying!" She hit me hard on my right arm and left me.

I fixed my uniform and walked again as if nothing had happened. What else am I supposed to do? I don't want to retaliate.

I'm just a simple student here. I'm not popular like Chandler and other girls who are said to be super rich. I don't care about them either. I'm here to study not to be a fan.

Someone suddenly covered my mouth with one of his hands and pulled me to the back of our building. Who is this? They have many tricks.

"C-Chandler?" I stammered as he removed the covering from my mouth and moved away from me slightly.

I always see him with a girl. Miraculous and he doesn't have anyone with him? Or does he just need something from me? I'm not even close to him, so it's surprising that he did that just to talk to us. Ha, I knew it! He didn't want anyone to see the two of us talking.

I watched him. He frowned as he looked at me seriously. He was wearing a school uniform but her handsome body was still obvious. His hair is under cut which suits him. It's also intimidating when he's near you. I was fixed with the radiation eyeglasses I was wearing.

I don't have a grade in my eyes. I just got used to wearing my radiation eyeglasses because I love watching kdrama and other dramas.

"You probably know what our set up will be, right?" he asked while his gaze on me did not waver.

I was just looking at her chest. I can't look at him!

"Yes, why did you ask?"

"I just want to say that I was forced here. That's why I don't want others to know about us." I frowned at what he said.

Why should I spread it? Does he have something wrong with his head? He obviously doesn't like me, I don't like him either.

After he turned his back on me, I tortured him and pretended to beat him. I stopped what I was doing when he faced me again. I awkwardly lowered my bent hand and smiled slightly at him.

"And by the way, I won't be coming with you later. I have something to do, please just tell them." Then he walk away.

I also left there and entered our room. Do I care if he doesn't come later? As if I care. He must have thought I was one of the girls chasing him. Well, he was wrong! It's good to throw him on another planet.

Before I could sit in my seat, I saw Paula rolled her eyes on me. I just looked and sat down. Why couldn't she just listen properly to our professor. She is pitiful when her parents find out about her attitude in the school. Their family is known because of their cosmetic business.

All the girls my class pretend to be friends with her just to get a discount. It's just irritating because she doesn't notice it.

Almost everyone who studies here has rich parents. It's just that they don't take education seriously because they know they have money. Money doesn't last forever and eventually it's worthless.

Our class ended and I think only a few of my classmates listened. When I left our room, I could hear girls screaming. Mr. Popular slash Chandler who is arrogant.

"Chandler, my loves! You're all mine, please!"

"He's really handsome!"

"Chandler! Chandler!"

I want to cover my ears because of what I hear. He was with a woman who had her hand wrapped around his arm. He looked at me. I walked and just passed them.

If only it were every day, I would just like to stay inside the classroom! They make noise and seem like they are still hungry for Chandler's attention.

Are there no other boys here at school? Why is Chandler the only one being noticed? There are many handsome people here at school, but the others are probably only in the library. Thinking about that makes me smile.

I held my head when something hit it. What is it? It hurts!

"Are you alright? Look at your head, there might be blood," said the man wearing a P. E uniform. He was about to hold my head when I pulled back.

"I'm fine," and I didn't look at him again.

He's carrying a racket, so he hit me with a shuttlecock? Why does it hurt like that? It's really good that I'm not into fighting just in the small things.

After I left the school, I saw my driver waiting. I immediately went there. During the trip I couldn't help but be nervous. I know Chandler won't go but his parents make me nervous. Maybe they won't ask me anything, right?

After I got home, Mommy immediately told me to get ready. I just wore a formal white dress and a two inches heels. I combed my shoulder-length hair and clipped it. Then I left my room. I saw Mommy waiting at the front door so I went with them.

"You look pretty tonight, Sweetie." Mommy commented on me, I just smiled at her.

We looked when a car entered our gate. And it spit out Chandler's parents. As expected, he was not there.

"Good evening," I greeted when they entered.

"You're so beautiful, Krista."

"Thank you."

I now know why Chandler doesn't want to go. So boring! Here we are in the dining area. I was speechless while eating. Because they are talking about business and compromise.

"We're very sorry that our son is not here but he's aware of that." Aunt Lernia.

"It's okay," Mommy answered.

I don't know if I'm still needed here or not? I don't have any choice.

"We are really happy and Krista is the one we reconciled with Chandler. Maybe she will be the reason for Chandler to change," I heard Tito Chando, Chandler's dad, say.

I tried to smile when Tito's eyes shifted to me.

Why me? Your son doesn't like me and I don't like him either. I wanted to say but I didn't.
