What should he do with this Energy Core?
Maybe he should give it to Chimecho! She's Psychic-type Pokémon, she would probably find it useful.
Yuga himself didn't know how to use this Energy Core, so it might be better to let Chimecho figure it out.
With this in mind, Yuga didn't care about the meteorites anymore. He tossed the cutting machine aside and rushed out of the studio.
Misaki watched her boss dash out in a hurry, puzzled by his strange behavior, and continued focusing on her work.
Leaving New Store and returning to the old store, Yuga headed straight for the Ecopark.
Seeing his boss running past him in a hurry, Suzuki Koen couldn't help but wonder what was going on. Had the boss suddenly become so urgent?
When he reached the Flower Sea Sub-Ecopark, Yuga found Chimecho playing with Vivillon in the flowers. He waved to get its attention.
"Why are you looking for me now? It's not training time," Chimecho thought while flying towards Yuga.
What do you want, interrupting my fun like this! Chimecho pouted, expressing its dissatisfaction with Yuga.
"I've come to give you a gift. Don't want it?" Yuga smiled.
Hearing the word "gift," Chimecho's eyes lit up, and it joyfully flew around Yuga, forgetting its earlier displeasure.
"See, what's this!" Yuga then took out the Energy Core.
Chimecho, of course, didn't know what it was, but the light purple energy crystal in front of it was incredibly attractive, making it feel dizzy with excitement.
Yuga looked at Chimecho, then at the Energy Core in his hand, suddenly feeling that it might be a bit too big for Chimecho. It clearly wouldn't be suitable for it to wear!
"Uh, Chimecho, do you want this?"
Yuga looked at Chimecho, who seemed mesmerized, and couldn't help asking.
"Yes, yes!" Chimecho nodded frantically. This had to be something good!
Having received the signal of approval, Chimecho directly wrapped the Energy Core with its body and flew up into the air with it.
Yuga watched in amazement as Chimecho, with a head not much bigger than the Energy Core itself, swallowed it whole.
After consuming the Energy Core, Chimecho returned to its original appearance, with no sign that its head had just been filled with such a large energy crystal.
"Chime..."
Chimecho happily called out to Yuga after swallowing the Energy Core, leaving Yuga dumbfounded.
After swallowing such a large stone, isn't your head heavy?
Yuga reached out and grabbed Chimecho, which was floating in front of him. He pinched its head left and right but couldn't find where it had stored the Energy Core.
Well, this little head feels nice to pinch, soft and squishy. Yuga couldn't resist pinching it a few more times.
Little guy, your abilities are quite intriguing; how come I never knew about this?
Perhaps feeling uncomfortable from being pinched by Yuga, Chimecho struggled out of his grasp and flew into the air. It had a somewhat sulky expression, as if it were complaining.
"Hehe, sorry about that, Chimecho. I was just curious about where you put the crystal."
Yuga said with a grin.
"Chime!"
Hearing Yuga's words, Chimecho raised its head in an arrogant manner, seeming quite proud. If it had hands, Yuga suspected it would be putting them on its hips and lifting its nose even higher.
Just as Yuga was about to say something else, a purple light suddenly emitted from Chimecho's body. Then, a light purple energy shield appeared and continued to expand. In an instant, it launched Yuga into the air.
Yuga's who was floating in mid-air, remained utterly bewildered, completely unaware of what was happening.
Fortunately, Vivillon had been closely monitoring the situation between Yuga and Chimecho. When they saw Yuga being launched into the air, one of them immediately used it wind-controlling abilities to catch him, preventing him from crashing down.
Safely back on the ground, Yuga stared at the expanding purple energy shield, recognizing it as a manifestation of pure psychic power.
The sudden surge in Chimecho's psychic abilities was undoubtedly linked to the Energy Core.
The energy shield didn't keep expanding indefinitely and eventually dissipated. However, many flowers in the garden had been flattened by the shield, creating a "Flower Sea crop circle" from a distance.
Many Combees that were busy collecting nectar had been frightened by the energy shield, but luckily, there were no casualties. Nevertheless, they buzzed anxiously around the fallen flowers, clearly distressed.
At this moment, Chimecho was also perplexed, equally clueless about what had just occurred. It watched as Yuga safely landed, relieved, and quickly floated over to him.
However, Yuga soon noticed that, with Chimecho's movement, the "Flower Sea crop circle" started to shift as well. As it approached, all the Combees that were previously flying in the air suddenly fell to the ground, unable to take flight.
Just as it got closer to Yuga and Vivillon, Yuga suddenly felt an unprecedented force pressing down on him. He couldn't resist and was pushed to the ground.
Turning his head, Yuga realized that it wasn't just him; Vivillon were also pinned down and unable to move.
This was Chimecho's gravity skill!
Having spent so much time with Chimecho, Yuga quickly deduced the reason for their predicament—himself, Vivillon, and even the Combees had been immobilized by Chimecho's gravity skill.
But could Chimecho's gravity skill really be this strong?
Yuga tried to move his body but found himself completely immobilized, just like Vivillon.
You see, Chimecho's gravity skill was originally only effective at restraining Vivillon; immobilizing them entirely was impossible.
Chimecho, approaching Yuga without understanding what was happening, had no idea why everyone was lying on the ground when it arrived.
"Chimecho, don't come any closer! Stay back!" Yuga shouted while raising his head.
Upon hearing Yuga's words, Chimecho obediently stopped, still puzzled as to why Yuga wanted it to stay away.
"Move back, further back!" Yuga continued to instruct.
Though uncertain about the reason, Chimecho obediently retreated. By this time, the Combees had already disappeared from the vicinity of Chimecho.
Feeling the gradually diminishing gravitational force acting upon him, Yuga slowly climbed to his feet, and Vivillon resumed their flight.
Taking a deep breath, Yuga felt relieved; being pressed down by Chimecho's gravity had nearly taken his breath away.
