Chapter 18 - Dragon bracelet

'An equals contract?'

Though Elle taught Scarlett a lot about the world, its occupations, and people, the one thing she didn't go over were spirit beast and things of the like.

She made up her mind to learn more about them so as to not be in a situation like this where she was clueless.

There was one thing she didn't understand.

"If my mother asked you to protect me, why haven't I seen you until now?"

The violet dragon, she learned that its name was Phi from the contract, looked at the little girl in front of her with a irritation and explained with a huff.

"I was always near you, little one, it's just Ellie didn't give you the bracelet until recently. If you were really in danger I would have rushed out of the bracelet", she added the last part with an eye roll.

Scarlett nodded her head in understanding only to open her eyes in shock when she really understood what Phi said.

"The bracelet? You mean you were in the bracelet? The silver one with a violet gem in the middle?", she launched question after question really forgetting her personality as a person to lazy to even talk with a person.

It kind of made sense as she thought about it again.

Before she found herself in this place she had been wondered what her mother had left in the space bracelet. Then the world spun and she ended up in here.

'Is this the legendary space that the protagonist get of every reincarnation novel? What doesn't that mean I'll be hunted down to the ends of the earth by people who would covet this? Wahhhh...no way…..I don't want it anymore!', she was in the middle of her inner monologue and thinking about it she should ditch the bracelet when Phi spoke,

"No little one, no one will hunt you till the end of the earth because they cover this dragon space. It's a known thing in the world even if it's not commonly seen. Every dragon could make one and I just decided to give mine to your mother."

"YOU CAN HERE MY THOUGHTS?!"

Phi really wanted to smack the little girl in front of her.

'Lucia how could you give birth to such a stupid daughter'

"Yes I can because I'm a seer just like your mother. She learnt everything she knew from me." Speaking of this the Phi puffed out her chest with pride.

"So all Seers can read minds? I thought they could just foretell the future and look into the past?" Scarlett said really considering if she should become a Seer.

Who wouldn't want to read peoples thoughts!!

"No not all Seers can read people's thoughts, only those born with that skill could. Really child you didn't even know this!"

She sensed the distain coming from Phi but could care less. She rolled her eyes and asked,

"So if my mother was born with the ability, then am I?"

Phi raised up her claw and put it on Scarlett's glabella. The next moment she felt a way of energy enter her mind but she new Phi wouldn't hurt her so she just waited to see what she was doing.

Just as she was thinking that Phi wouldn't hurt her, she heard a huge crack sound that came from her head and resounded like a gong throughout her ears.

"Ahhhhhhh"

Scarlett's shrill cry of pain echoed through the surrounds.

On the floor, Scarlett sat in the field of flowers holding her head that felt as if it was about to burst.

She had no idea what was happening and the pain was almost enough for her to go insane. Just as she wanted to black out she heard Phi's voice,

"Whoops, looks like she wasn't old enough to unlock this ability. Sh*t."

Scarlett's spirt conscious was raging war on some time of green energy that came from deep in her subconscious. To Scarlett it felt like her head was going to explode as she had no control over what was happening. The next second though a wisp of calming spirit energy wrapped around the chaotic energy. Only when the energy's seemed to settle down did the calming spirit energy with draw from her spirit consciousness.

Scarlett had a pale face with sweat soaking her clothes as she had fainted from the pain not to long ago.

Phi gave a long sigh of relief that she was able to calm the raging energy's down. Knowing that it was her fault for the little silver haired girl to be in so much pain she felt guilty. She used her claws to pick up the little Scarlett and flapped her wigs and shot into the sky, heading towards her domain in the Dragon bracket.
