Chapter 16 - Mothers bracelet

"La la la, la la", humming a song Scarlett walked lazily in the forest.

Astro was filled with towering trees that blocked out the sun from the forest floor. Green leaves and an abundance of colorful flowers filled the area.

She really didn't understand how this forest could be fill with treasures. SHE HADN'T FOUND ANYTHING!

Pouting, she bit her dried mango fiercely. "Should I just head back home now? Or maybe continue working on my core?"

The spirit energy was very dense and it would be a waste not to cultivate, she reasoned to herself.

She put away her dried mana and water and was about to find another cultivation spot, when something caught her eye. It was the space bracelet Elle had given her.

She traced her finger over the violet gem in the center of the bracelet, "I wonder what my mother put in this bracelet," as soon as she said those words she felt her head spin and vision going dark before returning to normal.

Except what was in front of her wasn't the forest of Astro anymore. Colorful and fragrant lilies could be seen far and wide. She was now standing in some type of grassland fill with flowers?

'Where in the world is she?'

Though she was confused, her body subconsciously walked further into the lily grove. Below her feet seemed to be a path way straight threw the flowers. She flowed the path way and ended up in front of a little cottage over grown with vines and plants.

Not sure what else to do she placed her hand on the door and was about to open it when she paused in shock.

*roarrrr*

Beyond the cottage and flowers a powerful and earth shattering roar reverberated almost making her eardrums burst. She wrapped her ears in spirit energy to relieve a bit of the discomfort before she looked out beyond the flowers.

"W..what in the world was that!", she mumbled in horror.

*whoosh*

Before she could wrap her head around what had just happened a gust of wind made her close her eyes. When she opened them again, she took to steps back and abruptly pulled out her daggers.

Where she stood before an adult violet colored dragon took up the whole space. The dragon scales were as big as Scarlett's face and it claws were twice as long as her dagger and much more menacing.

The Violet dragon started at her with narrowed eyes and spoke puff out of its nostrils.

'Holy shit, HOLY SHIT, IS THAT A FUCKING DRAGON!'

Scarlett really can't be blamed for her reaction. She who reincarnated, has yet so see the world or even learn about spirit beast, let alone dragons.

With her daggers clenched in both fists in from of her chest she ask in a voice that was obviously cowardly but still trying to sound cold, "w…who are you?"

'Damn , Scarlett why did you have to stutter, ugh', she cursed her self repeated for being cowardly.

She wanted to take another step back as she saw the dragons head inching closer to her, but to her utter disbelief she realized she COULD NOT MOVE ALL. It was as if someone froze her in place.

She closed her eyes in despair as the dragon started to get closer.

'So this is how I'd die, again!! But I don't want to die. I definitely don't want to die a pathetic death of being eaten by a dragon. I still haven't accomplished my dreams. MY LIFE OF RELAXATION WAS JUST AHEAD OF ME!'

It also wasnt like she didn't want to fight back, it was that she couldn't! The dragon had somehow paralyzed her, but even if the dragon didn't the only thing she could had done in this situation was to run away as the violet dragon was radiating unfathomable strength that little Scarlett couldn't match up too.

She never had any ambitions to grow stronger but at this moment she did. Scarlett's imagination was really getting out of control at this point.

As her emotions were getting out of control, Scarlett didn't notice how darkness core was almost pulsating and some darkness energy was about to start leaking out of her body.

Before it could do so she heard the violet dragon inhale as if sniffing her and the it spoke in a deep feminine voice.

"Are you Lucia's daughter?"
