After receiving the ID card from the bodyguard, Ronnel glanced at it briefly before handing it to Shizuku. She examined the card, and once satisfied, Ronnel tucked the rest of the documents into his space backpack, securing them safely.
"It seems we've had a pleasant collaboration this time. If another opportunity arises, I'll look for you again," Ronnel said with a smile, giving Regal a friendly pat on the shoulder.
Internally, however, Regal was screaming: Please, no next time! I never want to see you again!
As Ronnel pulled Shizuku away, Regal collapsed into his seat, drenched in cold sweat. He stared blankly at the half-destroyed car, the result of Ronnel's devastating punch, unsure what to think.
The bodyguards exchanged uneasy glances, collectively exhaling in relief. At least their employer was still alive—they wouldn't be held accountable for negligence.
The car filled with the tension of narrowly avoided disaster, but none of this concerned Ronnel.
With the ID cards in hand, the most basic logistical issue for both him and Shizuku in this world was resolved. While they could have survived without identification, the lack of it would pose numerous inconveniences, the most significant being their inability to take the Hunter Exam.
Yes, without proper identification, they wouldn't be allowed to participate in the Hunter Exam.
Though the Hunter Association is technically a non-governmental organization, it operates under the jurisdiction of the V5 government. Each Hunter's detailed information is recorded both by the Association and V5. In order to register for the exam, candidates must fill out an official form. While millions apply, the Association doesn't scrutinize every applicant's information. However, after passing the initial stages, before the final test, the Association conducts a thorough background check on the finalists, much like a political vetting process.
The Hunter Association doesn't tolerate unregistered individuals. This isn't the Association's rule, but a mandate from the V5 government. So, without ID, no one can take the Hunter Exam. And in the world of Hunter x Hunter, how could they miss the Hunter Exam?

With their IDs secured and money in abundance, Ronnel took Shizuku to the largest shopping mall in Gumandun City. Ronnel wasn't one to skimp on himself or his companions, and his old clothes were long overdue for a change.
Under the apologetic gaze of the female shop assistant, Ronnel swapped his worn-out attire for a sleek, low-key yet luxurious black trench coat, paired with black pants and shoes. Black was his favorite color, and the outfit complemented his sharp features perfectly. The young sales assistants nearby couldn't help but be mesmerized by his appearance.
Even the shop assistant helping him was full of admiration. After a glance in the mirror, Ronnel, satisfied with his new look, bought several more sets of clothes.
Shizuku, not to be left out, soon emerged from the dressing room wearing a simple but flattering black turtleneck sweater and jeans. The outfit suited her perfectly, a casual but stylish look. Ron nodded approvingly.
While there were plenty of other clothes, Shizuku favored the minimalist style, and Ronnel didn't hesitate to buy her several more of the same outfit, much to the delight of the shop assistant.
Beyond clothing, the two took their time exploring the mall. Though Shizuku was typically unassuming, she couldn't resist indulging in a bit of shopping. As they wandered the stores, Ronnel didn't hesitate to buy her anything she took an interest in.
She picked out a pair of black-rimmed glasses, an inverted cross necklace, and even had her hair styled.
After securing various essentials, they headed to the most luxurious hotel in Gumandun City. Using their newly obtained ID cards, they checked into a lavish suite.
Only with proper identification could they check into such a prestigious hotel, once again proving how necessary ID cards were.
After enjoying an extravagant meal at the hotel, they shared a hot bath, their closeness leading to the natural progression of certain... intimate activities.
The next morning, Shizuku emerged freshly showered and dressed, her face still showing faint traces of the previous night's events, looking adorably innocent.
"Ronnel, where are we headed next? We're not staying here forever, are we?" she asked, her voice soft and curious.
"Of course not," Ronnel chuckled, ruffling her hair affectionately. He glanced out the window at the rising sun before continuing,
"I've already decided on our next destination."
"Where to?" Shizuku tilted her head.
"We're going to the Heavens Arena."
"The Sky Arena? What's that?" she asked, intrigued.
"The Heavens Arena..." Ronnel began to explain.
The Heavens Arena is a fighter's paradise in the world of Hunter x Hunter. Standing at 991 meters tall, with 251 floors, it's the fourth tallest building in the world. Each floor is a battleground, with only the victors earning the right to ascend higher.
