First Disciple

I picked up the book, It has very crude structure like it is very old. It has a simple title mortal body cultivation. I opened it and started reading the first page which has the introduction about body tempering.

Human body contains lot of impurities which blocks it potential, to enter the path of immortality the first step is to cleanse the body of impurities.

Body tempering stage is divided into 9 parts, each part consist of tempering of skin(1st), bones(2nd), blood(3rd), internal organs(4th-6th), heart(7th) and meridians(8th) and the ninth stage to create a small dantian to store the energy in your body to prepare for Qi refining stage.

The book did not had any information about the Qi refining but it is already very far ahead so no use thinking about it now.

All forms of life has natural energy in them which supports their existence and is important for life to exist. This energy is also present in our surrounding but we don't know how to absorb it and use it in the path of cultivation. Through ancient time, there were many people who meditated for centuries in the search of the true path to guide this energy in your body.

Cultivation in body tempering stage requires one to feel the existence of this energy and guide it to cleanse all the impurities.

On the next page of the book was a set of breathing techniques, I started memorising those, After an hour I successfully stored it in my memory. I was already anxious and eager to try this so first I decided to calm myself by doing some basic exercises as suggested in the book.

After sitting in the meditating pose, Xian Yu started controlling his breathing as described in the book. Half an hour passed away just like that but Xian Yu was already expecting that, He has already made up his mind to continue this whole night. After 3 hours of meditating, he finally entered in the trance state in which his mind was completely empty. With this, the whole night passed.

In the morning Xian Yu was awaken from his state due to his alarm clock. Xian Yu checked his body but he was not able to find any difference. He checked his status.

Xian Yu tried to think what was wrong, He followed everything as described in the book but still he was not able to sense any energy let alone guiding it. While he was thinking he suddenly heard the system prompt.

Looks like I won't have a privacy since you can hear my inner thoughts, Xian Yu taunted the system which ignored him. Xian Yu did not had time to wait for few years so he asked the system about his potential. This time system did not gave any response but it showed Xian Yu status to him.

Xian Yu was thankful that he at least does have some potential otherwise he would never be able to cultivate even with the system.

Xian Yu POV:

Looking at my grade I don't think I will be able to sense any energy before a year, till that time I am sure I will be lying in a grave somewhere. Every time I think things are improving it takes a bitter turn. Hey system, Is there any think I can do?

I tried calling it again and again but this bitchy system is not giving any response. Let's head to school for now, will think about it later.

In the class, I was still thinking about all the possible solutions, Its not like I can hide somewhere for few years as that will take a lot of time and I am not sure if I will ever be able to reach even Qi refining let alone immortality. I also had no idea what body cultivation represent when compared to hunter rank.

Suddenly I heard the sound the sound of system prompt which awakened the hope.

But the issue is I don't have any strength, without strength how can I make her believe that I am not an idiot.

I turned my head to look at Min Shi, looking at her It seems she also did not slept at all, Knowing her she must be working the whole night.

After the class ended Liam went to Min Shi.

It seems this guy really wants to die, every time coming in my way, Min Shi seems to be in conflicting stage whether to accept it or not since she also knew that she did had that many options but she did not wanted to be a toy for someone.

Looking at the state Min Shi was in, Liam was sure that she would accept it soon so he just told her to think about it while giving a smirk and went away.
