Chapter #39: It's Not Your Fault

[In the middle of the night Cento]

In the quiet of the night, within the serenity of Cento, Yuki found himself sitting outside the cafe, his thoughts enveloped in the haze of cigarette smoke. As the tendrils of smoke danced in the air, a calming presence approached him – Imani, the venerable figure who commanded respect. She came forward, and with a knowing look, Yuki extinguished the cigarette. Their shared gaze held years of understanding.

"Yuki, you don't need to be so on edge. You're 36 years old now. I won't dictate what brings you solace. If smoking offers you a moment of peace, then so be it," Imani's voice was a gentle reassurance.

Yuki nodded, gratitude in his eyes. "I know, Master. But you've always been someone I hold in high regard."

Imani eased herself down beside him, a serene smile gracing her lips. "Master be careful." he said while holding her.

"My dear Yuki, you worry too much. Let this old woman sit in peace."
