Jel smiled to himself, hand over Rosy's as he remembered the children from years ago, and becoming slightly disappointed all of a sudden.
They were so cute as children, now look at them. Behaving as though their father is not worth the respect and admiration they had for him before. I know that I am not their real father and they do not think of me as one but still.
I suppose I can finally understand the woes of parents when they say that they wish their children never grew up. They have finally achieved their goals but I lost them and I don't think that is a fair trade at all.
"What is with that face?" Rosy asked, looking right at the man in front of her, her own eyebrows raised.
"What face?" Jel asked, raising his own eyebrow as well, looking cautiously at the girl. "I am not making any face."
"You are."
"Am not."
