'Why? How? What is this?' Jason looked at the open second page with a quizzical expression. The page couldn't have been opened for several months by now, and yet, now it opened as if the glue had worn off, which was a very unlikely scenario.
'That bright light and this strange star…' Jason turned the diary around and looked at the bright star. 'This diary is definitely not ordinary. Maybe by reading the diary pages I can find out who is the owner of this diary.'
He turned back to the second page and saw the paragraphs that were written with a quill. The writing style was the same as on the first page—slightly messy but readable.
Before he started reading, he walked to the window and peered outside. There were professors and some third-year students trying to find the source of that bright light. Third-year students had more freedom than first- and second-year students, allowing them to stay out later.
