Chapter: Leading To War (Part 1)

The base was filled with ghosts. Not a single life form was to be seen. The air was cold and the area was stifled with silence— dark clouds in the night sky complementing the scenery. Some sections of the base were also evidently damaged, but it was surprisingly not as bad as Zane had expected. Had Nick prevented a war from breaking out with the Anunnaki? It was the only plausible conclusion given the lack of damage.

Slowly, Zane paced himself through the base— Hades, the only one by his side, as everyone else had split up to investigate what had occurred.

"It doesn't seem like a fight broke out. There's not much evidence to say otherwise..." Calmly noted Hades.

"Yeah, it's safe to say that, but I do find something strange. Even if there wasn't a fight, it's evident that something happened," replied Zane.
