Chapter 98: Transformation

Inside Professor Lockhart's office.

After Professor Lockhart finished speaking, he fell silent while Arthur thought over something.

The room became quiet.

Suddenly, Arthur spoke up, "Can I use magic to examine you?"

"What?"

Professor Lockhart didn't quite catch that, as he had been thinking about his life after entering Azkaban.

"I want to study the reason for your loss of magic," Arthur repeated.

"Alright, sure,"

Professor Lockhart realized that Arthur hadn't revealed his intentions yet and felt a glimmer of hope.

'Who wouldn't want to be a good person?'

Arthur took his wand and gently touched Professor Lockhart's arm, allowing his magic to flow into his body.

Arthur carefully examined and found that Professor Lockhart had a decent amount of magic inside him, but it was completely dead.

In this state, he wouldn't be able to cast any spells.

Arthur withdrew his wand and transfigured a teapot on the table into a mouse.

He looked at Professor Lockhart and asked, "Can you use the Memory Charm?"

"Your magic hasn't disappeared. When you cast spells, they don't work because your body doesn't respond. I will engrave some runes on your body that will extract magic from inside you and use it to cast spells according to your mind."

When Professor Lockhart heard this, his eyes lit up.

He couldn't wait and said eagerly, "What are we waiting for? Let's get started."

Arthur didn't rush, though.

He reminded Professor Lockhart,

"This process might be quite painful, similar to getting a Muggle tattoo, or even more painful. You need to be mentally prepared."

"No problem."

Professor Lockhart answered without hesitation.

Seeing Professor Lockhart's determined expression, Arthur didn't say anything more. He took out a carving knife and began his work.

After a while, Professor Lockhart struggled to stand up and approached Arthur.

"Is it done?" he asked, somewhat unbelieving.
