Chapter 109: Crumple-Horned Snorkack

In the afternoon, Arthur woke up refreshed after a long nap and came out of his room, ready to find something to eat in the kitchen.

As he entered the kitchen, all the house-elves immediately stopped their tasks and lined up carefully in front of Arthur, shouting at the same time,

"Master."

Arthur was surprised.

He came to the kitchen a lot, and the house-elves would usually send just one person to ask him what he wanted.

This was a much fancier greeting than usual.

"Chelsea, what's going on today?"

Arthur asked one of the familiar house-elves.

Hearing Arthur's question, the house-elf named Chelsea bent even lower, afraid of falling.

"Master, we've noticed that you're connected to this castle. You are in charge of this castle, so it makes sense that you are also in charge of all of us house-elves."

When Arthur heard this, he realized that this must be what the token Slytherin gave him was doing.

He hadn't had a chance to find out what it did yet, but now he knew one thing.

Waving his hand, Arthur said to the house-elves,

"Alright, everyone can go back to your tasks. Chelsea, you can stay."

All the house-elves did what Arthur ordered and went to do their own work, leaving only Chelsea behind.

Arthur said to Chelsea,

"Bring me a steak, some soup, and fruits."

Arthur asked Chelsea for food, and she brought it to him immediately. It was even more plenty and expensive than he had asked for.

Arthur ate a few bites absentmindedly and then left the kitchen.

He noticed that when he was in the kitchen, the house-elves were extra careful in their movements.

Today, he was going to visit the Forbidden Forest to deliver some potions he had brewed to Celestia.

These potions would accelerate her growth and enhance her potential.

The weather outside wasn't very good. The sky was dark and cloudy, and it looked like it was about to rain.

But Arthur went anyway, because it was easy for him to use magic to protect himself from rain.

Sure enough, just as he got halfway there, lightning started flashing in the sky, and a few minutes later, it started raining.

A lot of young wizards rushed by Arthur on their way back to the castle. He seemed to be the only one who didn't stop since he kept moving.

But the moment Arthur reached the entrance to the Forbidden Forest, he unexpectedly saw a person.

"Luna?" Arthur called out.

At that moment, Luna stood quietly under a tree, wearing a pale yellow straw hat.

But under the heavy rain, the hat became wet.

The constant raindrops flowed along the tip of her hat, down her delicate face, and over her swan-like neck.

Even though she was soaked, the young witch didn't seem to notice as she moved around the tree and searching something.

She looked like a wet elf in the dark and didn't care about the gusts of wind or the intense storm.

Arthur looked at this beautiful scene, which looked like something from a CGI movie.

He stopped and looked at the view, which showed Luna and nature merging together.

At that moment, Arthur thought Luna's beauty was unmatched, and if a lotus flower stood next to her, it would lose its shine.

The girl naturally belonged to nature, to the gentle breeze, and to the forest.

Luna was very sharp, and she looked over at Arthur as he met her eyes.

hich looked like the eyes of a deer, his heart skipped a beat, but he quickly got himself together and walked towards Luna.

"Why are you still here when it is raining so hard?"

Arthur asked as he reached Luna's side. He summoned a magical barrier to shield her from the rain and used a spell to dry her off.

Luna didn't say anything, allowing Arthur to take care of her. When he was done, she spoke in a voice that sounded like the wind or rain.

"Lawrence said that a Crumple-Horned Snorkack had been seen in this area. I came looking for traces of it."

"Who is Lawrence?" Arthur asked.

"Mmy roommate."

Arthur furrowed his brow upon hearing this.

He knew that Crumple-Horned Snorkacks didn't exist in the wizarding world.

Luna must have been making it up, probably trying to play a prank on him.

Arthur quickly came to this idea, but he chose not to say it. There was no need to bother the young witch with ordinary matters.

But it wasn't the best place for Luna to stay either. Arthur had an idea.

"I think you won't find the Crumple-Horned Snorkack anytime soon. How about joining me to see a unicorn?"

Arthur noticed that his tone sounded strange, almost like he was trying to get a little girl to want to see goldfish.

Luna blinked.

"The Quibbler said that unicorns are just horses that have been given a unicorn by a wizard."

Arthur: "...."

Arthur felt a bit speechless.

He knew this tabloid Luna's father published, but he had never listened to it. He didn't know it was so crazy to even question whether unicorns existed.

"Come with me and see for yourself. Celestial, Yes, that's the name of my unicorn. She's a real and actual unicorn."

Arthur shook his head, choosing not to argue with Luna. Instead, he decided to let her see for herself.

Arthur went deeper into the Forbidden Forest with Luna by his side.

Thanks to little Celestial, Arthur was quite familiar with the forest. They talked about magical creatures along the way, despite the raging storm.

As they walked, Arthur was able to learn more about Luna.

She had already gained a reputation as a crazy girl in Ravenclaw, but Arthur couldn't find anything crazy about her.

She simply didn't care about what other people believed or said, choosing to live in her own world.

Arthur suddenly felt that Hermione and Luna were two completely opposite personalities.

Hermione believed in facts and logic, always demanding evidence for everything, while Luna seemed to rely on her intuition for all her actions and perceptions.

Of course, both girls were very charming, which was one of the few things they had in common.
