Chapter 42 : End Of The First Year 2

The reason why Dumbledore called both the boys was to arrange a living place for them. Apparently, Nick Iron just like Orion was an Orphan and had nowhere to go, ' Of course, he is an orphan, I mean is there any normal character in a reincarnated world, not an orphan.' Orion suppresses his urge to roll his eyes in front of Dumbledore and Nick.

'Not the only reason to label this situation SUS AF,' Merlin from the sideline added, Orion has noticed that this old man was getting a little too influenced but the language and culture of his previous world.

He didn't think too much about it and immediately refused Dumbledore from assigning himself to any Orphanage. Dumbledore looked troubled at this but then decided to handle Nick's situation first.

Nick unlike Orion used to live in an Orphanage, the reason he was here was opposite to Orion. He wanted to live on his own, very similar to Orion. And to do that, he needed Dumbledore's permission. But which Adult will ever listen to an 11-year-old anyway?

"I'm sorry Mister Iron but I can't accept your request, there is no way that I can allow a minor like you to live alone all his own," There was finality in Dumbledore's voice and Orion knew that same fate was about to befall onto him too but before he could come up a plan to get stop his freedom taken away from him, a sudden fire appears out of nowhere.

Nick was tense immediately and his hands were over his wand, an action which didn't go unnoticed by either Orion or Dumbledore. On the other hand, both Dumbledore and Orion were very used to this particular surge of fire. 

It was the teleportation of a phoenix and thus neither of them reacted like Nick. Considering that Fawks was there already, this Phoenix could be the only one other in the entire Hogwarts.

"RED," Orion said and a much younger looking and much more red-looking bird chirped happily and flew two rounds around the office in excitement and then landed on Orion's shoulder, taking his usual place.

Fun fact, Young Phoenix are red while the older ones are more golden in colour, Fawks has many golden feathers making it known to those who know that Fawks is much older than Dumbledore. Compared to him, Red is just like a newborn lamb.

Dumble was instantly fascinated by the young Phoenix while Nick just looked at the bird and stared, not sure what he was thinking exactly. There was even a reaction from Fawkes, maybe the two birds are friends.

Orion didn't give too much attention to this and took the letter Red was carrying and gave it a read, by the end of the letter Orion had a smile on his face. " There couldn't be a better time than this," Merlin from the side announces.

Orion too just nodded at this.

Finally, Orion was at the Hogsmeade station and ready to board the train to get going back.

The letter he received was from Tom the Bar Owner of the Leaky Cauldron. He invited Orion to stay with him if Orion so wanted to. This was the best outcome Orion could ask for right now and even Dumbledore agreed to that, considering that even he would have trouble finding a good place for Orion to live in the last moment.

Nick's plead to live alone was denied and he was sent back to the orphanage.

"Make sure that you write, Rose, Ron and.... Orion are you listening ?" Hermione said while waiting for the train.

"Of course, I am, make sure that you write to me too Hermione. And if you go Troll hunting next time, I will tag along. I will punch the Troll this time, although the offer is still extended if that punch has to be delivered to some bully you just happen to meet," Orion said with a smile.

"That's barbaric," Hermione replied but chuckled nonetheless, she had no idea why Orion was so obsessed with punching things but she didn't mind, Orion was a good person and there was nothing more to that. It has nothing to do with the boy being the knight in shining armour and saving her two times in a row, no.. not at all.

"And Rose you too, if you find any problem with those godforsaken relatives of yours just let me know, I don't mind giving them a visit," Orion said with full confidence, after all, unlike others, he doesn't have any trace on him and thus he can do magic outside in the muggle world.

Rose had a Rosy face and smiled brightly at Orion's comment. Although she didn't believe him entirely the fact that he even said it, made her heart filled with warmth. (Later this warmth might come from somewhere else but that's all right, by then she will be mostly an adult )

There were no heartfelt words words for Ron. Just like in the real world, the men and even to some extent boys are not much cared for in the grand scheme. Sad life but what we can do about it?

"So what are your plans now," Merlin asked Orion, they had 2 months of free time on their hand and both planned to dedicate it to training.

"Let's make sure that by the time I come back here again, I am no longer that Magically Challenge guy, By the time I am back, I will be a goal that others want to reach," Orion said and Merlin on his time just smirk. He planned to do the same.

"Then it's time to find the Force Within You" Merlin announced.
