Chapter 208 : Spain 1

[Spain]

Orion arrived in Spain with a sense of urgency and much more difficulty then he was expecting.

His goal was clear, find the contact who had information about all the Vampire Colony in Europe. However, the recent attacks by Grindelwald had thrown the country into chaos, making even breathing in this place a hard task, let alone infiltrating the country illegally, concealing once identity and finding this one person whom he has no knowledge of nothing more th than hitting darts at nighttime.

The moment Orion stepped on this land, he could feel the tension in the air. Coming here was no easy task, any kind of magic was under strict watch. And even this time around the wizards had their eyes on the Muggle transport.

Orion thankfully had a trusty phoenix who finally had mastered long-distance teleportation.

"Red, remind me to buy something good for you later on." Orion grins as he does which hardly anyone can do besides one other person who also has a mythical bird for a pet.

The usually bustling streets of Madrid were eerily quiet, and the presence of heightened security was unmistakable. Although Orion was mainly sticking with the Muggle streets and place upon coming to the country he could feel it.

A dark magical curtain looms at this place. Like there was dead in the very essence of the air.

The news agency of Spain noted a widespread virus in their country. Killing of thousands of people.

Maybe muggles will believe it but Orion knew that was bullshit.

That wasn't a virus, it was a curse. Grindelwald the moment he left his prison, something which never happened in the original work, came here and wreaked Havoc.

His reason is unknown but the situation wasn't good.

After a little sightseeing, Yuta finally found a place where he could sense magic. Making sure that no one was around to notice him, he quickly saw a statue and at the base of the statue was a particular writing. Muggles might find it as art but for Wizards.

They were runes, denoting to other magically capable people that his place was a gateway.

Orion was swift about it as he quickly entered the place with just a touch of his finger at the base of the statue.

And what greeted him was a very similar-looking magical place like Diagon Alley. This one though was much more modern.

Soldiers and Aurors patrolled every corner, their eyes sharp and suspicious of any stranger. Orion currently was in a disguised state. Looking like one boogy man from a certain assassin movie.

There were many reasons to mask his face, one of the most important thoughts to hide that he was just a kid. A kid who now is worldwide famous in magical communities.

He himself is not aware but as much as he listens to Merlin, he is a small celebrity himself. Especially after his Squib Potion release.

Hiding his face was imperative.

Orion pulled his cloak tighter around him, blending into the shadows as best as he could. His contact was a man named Javier, a well-connected informant known for his deep ties to the entire magical Europe, Orion himself got to learn about Javier only thanks to his own contact to his clients in his business.

Though he still has no time to handle his business himself but he try to maintain a good connection with the upper echelons of the wizarding community from many different countries.

Making contacts is important, and as soon as one starts the better.

Finding Javier in these conditions, however, was going to be no easy task.

He navigated through the labyrinthine alleys of the old city, avoiding the main roads where he might attract unwanted attention. The air was thick with smoke from recent fires, and the scars of battle were evident in the damaged buildings and frightened faces of the few residents who dared to venture outside.

At first, he too used to wonder why its so hard to make a home when one has magic. Or even repairing a building should be too easy right? Magic to the rescue.

Well, how wrong he was.

Most of the houses have wards built in them if they are magical in nature. This means using magic to rebuild or even repair them is a very hard task.

Not every wizard after all is strong enough or skilled enough to pull that complex magic off.

A simple repair spell "REPARO", doesn't seem to work in the Magical World,

Quite a strange Irony right?

After hours of careful movement and discreet inquiries, Orion finally arrived at a small, inconspicuous tavern on the outskirts of the city. The place was dimly lit and almost empty, save for a few patrons who eyed him warily as he entered.

This wariness was different from just seeing a New face. Their city has been attacked by wizards.

The dark lord of the past seems to return.

No, it wasn't just wariness but to some degree horror and fear.

Everyone was keeping their distance from each other.

In this case, finding the right person or even information about the Person Orion wanted to locate was hard.

He approached the barkeep, a grizzled old man with a wary look.

"I'm looking for someone," Orion said quietly, slipping a few Galleons across the counter. "A man named Javier."

"Javier Waterloom."

Orion said that last part in a very hush voice, it wasn't just a name but also a password according to what he got from his client.

The barkeep's eyes flicked to the coins and then to Orion. After a tense moment, he nodded subtly and gestured to a door at the back of the tavern. "in there."

Orion made his way to the back room, his heart pounding with anticipation, it was very common for a a killing curse or two to come out of nowhere in shady places like this. He though wasn't worried as his infinity was on almost all the time but still, he was unsure.

He after all wasn't Gojo. If the attack is strong enough then his Infinity can be rendered useless. So he has to stay vigilant.

He pushed open the door to find a small, cluttered office. Behind a desk covered in papers and maps, a man with dark hair and a tired expression looked up.

"Javier?" Orion asked.

Javier nodded, his eyes assessing Orion carefully. "You must be the one looking for information on the Vampire Colony." the man asked with vigilance in his voice.

He wasn't expecting that someone would really come to him for such information at this time. At first, he wanted to just forget about it but the contacts which asked him to help were big enough for him to act.

Orion took a seat, his resolve firm. "Yes. I need to find them, especially one who has any sort of control or dealing in Britain."

Javier leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "It's not going to be easy. The recent attacks have made the vampires even more secretive and cautious, and that's just here, Britain you say well I can only say good luck in that seeing how those damn beasts tried to attack the magical school in Britain. After that, it seems that the Britain magical ministry was after them immediately, at this point trying to find a third dark lord might be easier than finding them. But I do have some leads."

Orion listened intently as Javier outlined the possible locations and key figures within the vampire community. The informant's knowledge was extensive, but the task ahead was daunting. With Spain in turmoil, travelling unnoticed would be difficult, and the vampires were notorious for their secrecy and defensive measures.

"I appreciate the information," Orion said, standing up.

Javier gave him a nod. "Be careful. The vampires are dangerous, especially when grouped, and you are looking for their colony, I won't be surprised that you are someone from Britain but make sure not to attract the attention of that beast in our borders. And with Grindelwald's forces causing havoc, we are not looking for more troubles."

Orion nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation.

"By the way, though you won't say the real name and I highly doubt that this is your real face either.

What do I call you," Javier asked with curiosity. Dealing with information was after all his bread and butter.

"Wick,

I'm John Wick"
